Yes, I've done it a thousand times, but they are greyed out in this program. As I say, it was created by a coworker, so I have no idea what might be the reason for this behavior. I created a fresh stock model, but got the same greyed out functions. It's a 2021 program.
I am working with a coworkers program and I'm trying to create a pmesh from a stock model, but "View Stock Model", "Stock Model Export to STL" & "Stock Model Covert to Pmesh" are all greyed out.
Does anyone know why this might be?
Ok, I opened an uncorrupted file, chose the A2_5XKOMO_VMCHHCB machine to simulate. There were a few crashes as I didn't reorient my models, but everything seemed to run correctly. After saving & closing the file, I tried to reopen it and after MC tried for 10 minutes without completing the opening process, I killed it with Task Manager.
@Chally72 What all would I need to zip up to send this in? I can create a Z2Go of an uncorrupted file of course, but do I also need to include my entire MachSim folder or just the folder for the machine I created?
Also, what is the address for QC/Tech support?
The Onsrud is different.
I couldn't get models from them, so I had to measure & create them myself. A nice challenge.
Doesn't do me much good if it corrupts my programs though.
Yes, I've always had the slowing problem on large or complicated files.
But the behavior I'm seeing now is even on simple files. I'm just guessing here, but It seems to be related to how long the file is open. And it absolutely just started, for us, when we moved to WIN 10.
The irony for us is that we only made the move to WIN 10 because CNC had previously said that 2022 would not run on 7.
I was able to get back to this project again today. I have the machine modeled and the kinematics assigned correctly. I opened an existing file and ran simulation. Everything worked and displayed just as it should.
However, after I had saved & closed the MC file. When I tried to reopen it, the file crashed as soon as it opened! Luckily I had saved the file in a "Testing" folder before doing any of the simulation work, so I haven't lost anything important.
I tried it with a couple of different files, and this happens with all of them.
Anyone have an idea of what could cause this?
You can use the origin icon at the bottom of the planes manager to associate the planes origin to a geometry element. Then when you relocate the geometry, the plane follows it.
