  1. Anyone know of a vendor who carries these? I can buy regular & have them ground, but if they're available off the shelf, that's even better.
  2. Oh man, this makes a wonderful path! Thanks again Aaron.
  3. I remembered this from last year, but I was, and still am, nervous about trying the "tool center mode". I forgot that it was later clarified that the code still, actually outputs without 3D comp.
  4. I'm trying to use this path more often, as it makes beautiful paths, when I get it right. It seems to me that I should be able to machine all of the inner surfaces of this part using unified, but I've been unable to get it figured out. If anyone has time, would you care to give me some pointers? DUMB SOLID.mcam
  5. We use the "Description" field to enter or tool bin location & the "Manufacturer's tool code" field to enter the ordering data. Then we have that info output in our Active report.
  6. Oh, it appears the "box" font is actually made up of Mastercam files.
  7. Well, that's curious. Why the heck would the box font not be available in configuration, when it's available in the create letters dialog?
  8. Configuration/Dimensions and Notes/ Dimension Text/Font & Configuration/Dimensions and Notes/ Note Text/Font
  9. We have our posts setup to output the MC operation number at every forced toolchange, and our Active reports setup sheets have the MC operation output in the 1st column. That, essentially, does what the OP wants. I imagine you could add the "N" somehow, but our operators are trained to know that the setup sheet operation equals the block number.
  10. I am definitely going to follow this thread. We have an Onsrud F148E15 5X router with twin tables & a Fanuc 30i B5 control. We mostly do aircraft honeycomb panel, flat sheet metal & wood parts, but lately we've been using it to do more precise work & have had issues with calibrating the machine. I'd love to know how this works out for you.
  11. I have to cut a 4mm wide slot, 2.5mm deep, with 0.2mm fillets, in a few 6Al4V titanium parts. Does anyone have a tool recommendation for this?
  12. I finally was able to get this sent today.
  13. I tried installing the automatic toolpaths, following the readme.pdf file & the video from your YouTube channel. But I am not getting the dockable window. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? The; cAutomaticMillToolpaths folder, AutomaticMillToolpaths.dll, & AutomaticMillToolpaths.ft files are in; C:\Users\Programmer PC\Documents\My Mastercam 2022\Mastercam\Add-Ins\Add-Ins The FaceLoopChain.dll file is in; C:\Program Files\Mastercam 2022\Mastercam I rebooted my box after the installation, but still no joy.
  14. Okay, I'll do that in the morning.
  15. No, it doesn't happen all the time, so I can't recreate it and the parts are NDA.
  16. I moved it with the normal dynamic translate until I got it to 89.999°, which optirough will accept. But it's a little (a lot) frustrating to have this suddenly go screwy. I can program the parts wherever they are in space, it's just that my template files are set up for doing the way I have for the last 7 years at this place. I can always find a way, but I'm not gonna lie, this is irritating the dickens outta me today.
  17. I don't know, it was out in space & I brought it into the world system (well, I thought I did, until my toolpath was wonky). The 2D/3D switch was set to 3D.
  18. Analyze dynamic returns it as flat
  19. Since I started using MC, when I want to align a part to the reserved top plane, I create a plane from a solid surface, that I want aligned. Then I select the solid and translate 3D, from the created plane to top. It has worked flawlessly...until 2022. Now sometimes instead of being perfectly aligned with the reserved plane, it is off by a fraction of a degree. Using analyze draft angle, it will display as horizontal, but analyze dynamic will give the true angle (On a side note, why is it giving a 89.9881° reading for a nearly horizontal surface? Shouldn't it read -0. 119°?). The trouble is that Optrough will not recognize the surface as a floor stock. So I have to fight till I get it flat before I can proceed. Is there a tolerance value that has somehow got change on my box? Anyone have any ideas, or experiencing the same behavior?
  20. If anyone wants it, I created an excel sheet to convert feeds for internal & external threads. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/5hjoxs257kxy0hhjzzf17/THREADMILL-SPEED-CALCULATOR.xlsx?dl=0&rlkey=qg91k3i3wt8vjm2aflwbsgjd1
  21. Won't selecting Translucency, in the View tab, fix this?
  22. For the axis control on this "To point" is selected. Where is the point and how is it selected?
