I don't think any Wire EDM posts (out of the box) support subroutines.

You would do a Toolpath-Transform and set the subroutine switch on. This of course be dependent on the post have sub capabilities. The Mpfan.pst and MpMaster.pst( from this website) do support subs.

Scott, you can setup Draft to use the CIMCO Editor also. Go Screen-Configure-Start/Exit and change your default editor. Again, you should go online and get the latest version. see above.

Scott, if you are using Cimco Edit, make sure you have the latest version. You can go to www.cimco-integration.com , go to downloads and get the Mastercam OEM Update. Then make sure that in the receive settings that you have it set to 'auto' for the EOB character. Pete, like Jimmy said, there is a parameter on Fanuc's to set the EOB character. What model Fanuc do you have?

jps, to remotely send a file to the cnc, you need some sort of communication software that can handle the request and do the task. Cimco DNCMax is one product that fit that bill. Check out: www.cimco-integration.com

yes, cimco will do simple upload and downloads and also Drip feed a control. In cimco, there is really no difference, the difference is how you 'receive' the code at the machine. -
john, careful with rounding and altering the output of XYZ's to the Prototrak. They can be very sensitive about the values in arc statements and how accurate the arc center value is.

doug, it is tru the mplfan has that built in as an option switch. You might be able to analyze and disect how the mplfan does it and use that idea in your post. Good learning exercise. -

Greg, we do a PC for our customers that has, 3.0 GHZ Pentium 4 1.5 Gb RAM Quadro4 FX500 256 Mb RAM 80 Gb 7200 rpm HD for right about in the middle of your price range. -
haven't looked at what CNC has for download yet, but you may be better waiting for your dealer to get a CD over to you. The Dealer only download we got a week and a half ago was not the full install. It was missing documentation, samples, nethasp files and chook dev kit.

the Mastercam SW Direct brings in a majority of the design tree, but not all. If it fails to bring in a feature for the design tree, it then just brings in a featureless body.

CNC is concentrating on reducing inputs, mouse clicks - user inputs - menu navigation, to greatly improve the speed and ease of use. It is being all redone in .NET programming to make much better use of Windows functionality and resources.
