  1. Hi Laura, Thanks for stepping in and clearing that up. Don't take it too hard, you and the rest of the technical writers have done a wonderful job with X! By the way, you still owe me a hand shake if I remember. See if you can get out to IMTS in Chicago this fall.
  2. Stevieboy, You do not have to initially click the Trim 2 entity function button. Open the Trim/Break ribbon bar and just begin trimming. For two, just single click the first entity and double click the second.
  3. Pete, Our shop supervisor was just about ready to order Design LT for our Inspection room. Shading surfaces is very important for visualizing complex models. If we buy it now will we receive the corrected update when it is released? Will there even be updates available for Design LT? Will the next version be after X2 is released? Are there any other known problems we should know about? From Mastercam’s web site: quote: When compared with the competition, Mastercam X Design LT offers a high level of functionality coupled with incredible value. We do not offer a subscription or maintenance program with this product nor is there a reduced price to update to a newer version.
  4. bellyup, I have not "seen" anything different for MR2.
  5. Chris, You have an impressive list of fans! I will also miss reading your posts. Thank you for all that you have done for the Forum.
  6. speedtool, I don't know of a way to change the default value. It's a good idea! Why don't you send an enhancement request to QC.
  7. Welcome to the Mastercam Forum bcorey! Looking at your web site, I think you will do just fine here. One word of advise, what ever you do, don't post in Thad's Sticky!
  8. Lloyd, I usually don't change my levels from the Status bar, so I am not familiar with this problem. I did look at the Level function on the Status bar in MR2 Beta 1 and it seems to work fine, so maybe it has been fixed. Nevertheless, you should still contact QC.
  9. I prefer the contrasting row style in X. I didn't even know the V-9 Level Manager had changed again, haven't opened it in months.
  10. All, The MD/CD videos can be found on Mastercam's ftp site at ftp://ftp.mastercam.com . Go to the Customer AreaFrom MastercamMD-CD Toolkit directory. There you will find two zip files, FAQs.zip and Overview.zip. They are about 74 MB and 58 MB respectively. Make sure you turn on Use Folder Names when you unzip them. Christine will be adding links soon so that people can download these files from the Multimedia page instead of watching them directly if they like.
  11. Die Sinker, Christine is hooking me up with the video files. I will let you know when I have access to them.
  12. HevyMetl, Could you please email me the Makino and Tesco speadsheets. I would like to compare their numbers to the formulas that I use.
  13. Die Sinker, Make sure you have the latest Macromedia Flash player installed.
  14. Pete, I do not see this problem fixed in MR1/SP2. How does it look in a build of MR2?
  15. mike, If you want a good surface finish and consistency without grinding or honing, you might want to try Roller Burnishing.
  16. Bruce, You might also want to try the FindOverlap C-Hook.
  17. All, How many of you feel the AllResult C-Hook is a useful tool? I was asking Roger Martin why this could not be added in the Mastercam install. Roger said that if there really is a demand for AllResult, he would see about including it. Speak up, here's your chance!
  18. DavidB, Check your V92XFunctions.pdf document. I believe Analyze-Surfaces-Curvature was removed.
  19. Claude, If you have not already done so, make sure you read the Forum FAQ and the Forum Guidelines at the top of the page. Glad to have you as a member.
  20. Welcome Harbec Users, What type of plastics do you work with?
  21. Flipper, Have you looked at Mastercam Draft? If you are running version X, they now have Mastercam Design LT!
