  1. +1 to a test part. Even with our ez5 we still fine tune with the test part
  2. I haven't used the Toolpath editor, I'll have to give it a shot
  3. You can always convert to 5 ax and set your tilt angle
  4. Tilt is only for finish paths. If you hit the ? And click parameters it says this
  5. When I hit ok it removes the tools. If I hit no it was fine and back plot ok, posts in camplete ok. One was an endmill which I changed the size and description, the other was a thread mill that I made this morning.
  6. It's ok.thatsbworks for final finish, but I want to cut the whole floor slower
  7. I'm sure there is a post mod, but is something like this in the works? Pockets and contours.
  8. Opened a file and it said two were corrupt. They back plot fine. So I deleted one and pulled it from the library again and saved and reloaded the file. The error was gone even though I only changed one of the tools
  9. If it gets the job done..., With one insert you can get a nice finish too
  10. Stock models never stop and I just close mastercam in the task manager. The machining ops usually stop when I hit the button
  11. You can measure an existing shrink with deltronic pins. I think the haimers are .0008 under nominal if I recall and want an h6 shank tolerance. but am not sure, it could be smaller. I can get an exact number later if you want I will say they expand maybe .002 or a little more with the heat. Their Machine is calibrated for their holders
  12. A bigger radius on the tool will give you a better finish. .006 will need a small stepover
  13. I would do the radius with waterline after you pocket the floor flat and finish the walls
  14. Is the bottom of the pocket flat? If it is I would use a dynamic and follow up with a pocket to skim the bottom and walls, you will get a few more finish options. You can add depth finish cuts for thin wall and sort by depth If it's an angled floor the pocket surface will let you finish the walls with cutter comp but you will still need to address the floor for a good finish.
  15. I took a look at the 2018 copy I have. The pfcout is there but there are conditions where it doesn't like if lock_codes=1 ..... Perhaps it could be a miscellaneous integer
  16. Usually in the tool change block they have for example a pfxout for x axis to force it to output Yours may not have the f so it may say pxout. You will have to know how your a axis is labeled in there. It may be more complex than that depending on the post
  17. Is saving to a pmesh in the stock model parameters page or somewhere else?
  18. Try a stock model with all ops, then your optirough with rest material one op, pick the stock model
  19. If it's a new installation you may need to go into the hasp manger and select the right one. Do you have a net hasp or the donglem
  20. There's a setting for additional slot width for ramping into pockets too
  21. What's the correct way to backup? Just copy the config file?
  22. I use stl as job setup stock usually. I think 5 axis meant to post in this thread, but my containments boundary was too small. He recommended it should be 3x tool size. Mine was originally stock size. After I shifted it about an inch the stock model processing time is about 2 min instead of 6. I also up my tolerance to .01 for initial stock tool corner and stock model tolerance
  23. Yeah that's what I did once I made the boundary bigger it seem to help a lot
  24. I just realized you can trim a optirough path to the shank of the tool
