Yeah? I'm guessing it isn't the V application. I don't recall them offering a lease option. Like you, I prefer a bought and that's it... (a'la perpetual).
I don't see it as progress. Maybe an option...
I heard a rumour the lease Option was coming.
In regards to hard copies, we got one, for our two seats, months after the release. One mouse pad though. And no other swag.
Our dealer squeaks when he walks....
I thought it was Mill Entry, Mill 2D, Mill 3D, Multi Axis then the addons.
Lathe Entry, Lathe Level 1, then that Mill Turn thing which requires some kind of Milling.
I dunnp... I'm like James, I've kind of lost track... LOL
I posted up some code that worked on the exact same controller we have in our shop, and I queried what post the op was using, but never got a response.
You got it
Actually, I'm really surprised that something as simple as this isn't available in Cimco Edit backplot. There are plenty of 4 axis verticals out there.
Either I am missing something really obvious, or I am wanting something that isn't there..
How do I display cylindrical solid stock in Cimco Edit Backplot with the centreline parallel with the X axis (as if set up on a 4 axis Vertical mill)? All I seem to be able to do is display the stock with the centreline parallel with the Z axis.
There was an Okuma post that was part of the post installation executable, that had the LAP cycles all defined. It seemed to work pretty well from memory.
Seems to me that would have been a better option, rather than converting a Fanuc post.
Maybe use the variable lathecc to (if lathecc <> 0, "G80")
Without knowing the post, I wouldn't be sure where to put it though.
Timing is everything. Hah, I was just experimenting with some toolpaths, and I had a prime example of where this was needed. I actually tried the Air Region earlier and got what I was trying to achieve, and then came across this thread
I just took delivery of a HP ZBook G3 mobile workstation. I didn't go the Xeon processor, just an I7, but it did come with an Nvidia Quadro M2000M with 4Gb of video memory, 64gb ram, and two 512gb SSD drives.
Run my notebooks with a docking station connected to 2 24" monitors. It works a treat, and gives me the portability when needed.
As for gaming cards? I find Mastercam (along with pretty much all CAD/CAM software) runs best on the Quadro series of cards. The gaming cards I always had some kind of issue with.
