Result Button

It would be so nice to have a button on the General Selection toolbar for ‘result’. Just a quick way to select the ‘result’ elements without having to open the ‘All’, Xform Result’ dialog box. I did look through the toolbars and buttons in the Customize, but I couldn’t find anything.

Just a little minor ‘nicety’ thing in the mist of all the other hoopla over X!

what would be even nicer is to have the possiblilty to assign hotkeys to the EVERYTHING on the general selection bar. That bar is my biggest gripe with X, it does nothing but slow me down with cursor hunt and peck games. Its just a big work flow killer if you ask me...

What I have done is to turn OFF all of the toolbars. Then, as I use X I start building toolbars with the features I actually use.

 

Then, I won't have to find 'Rectangle' under the 'Spiral' drop-down that was last used. It will ALWAYS be exactly where I put it.

Note that behavior is optional. See Settings/Config/Screen's 'show MRU in dropdown menus' checkbox

I have my MRU set to 20 and keep it docked to the right side of the screen. I put my ribbon bar on the bottom so I always know where to be looking and where to go with my mouse and required thing to complete something.

I loaded up the c-hook on a mini-toolbar right next to the general selection toolbar.

 

Works great!

I guess I'll have to do without. My company's security won't let me on the ftp site and the firewall deleted the .dll file out of the zip file in the e-mail. Oh well.

That's a bummer. Do you think the firewall would delete the dll if it were zipped twice. I could try sending it to you that way.

I guess I spoke to soon. I didn't see the error message at first, but it still deleted the file from the zip file.

It's a Macafee firewall and it's deleting it from the e-mail attachment before it gets to me. It replaces it with an error message that says "Blocked due to format."
