Skilled CNC Operators

What is it like out there.

We cant find good CNC operators and were desperate.

6 new M/Cs coming in over the next 3 weeks and weve lost 3 operators (going to university).

Anybody know of someone wanting to come to the land down under please give them my e-mail address and well sort somthing out.

wonder what a cnc operator makes down under ??

might have to think real hard. might be quite a differnt life thare. as right now jobs in Oregon are very poorand my work is not looking to good. so hope you post what a job like this pays. Jimmy Whitbeck

The money down south hasn't ever been too good. I was offered a couple of jobs in the US, and I was seriously tempted to move up to the US. The money was way better than what I could get locally.

It seems CNC operators (and programmers) have never been paid well for their skills in the lands down under

Money is a relative thing Mick and the stanard of living here (south east QLD) is great,Climate,cost of living.

As it such a big move and commitment we are getting everything sorted out our end-ie Terms ,Conditions,Visa sponsorship, ect.

Yes, money is a relative thing, but relative to what? It seems *most* people down that way dont seem to want to pay for experience, nor for the fact that skilled operators, and more so, programmers, are getting harder and harder to find. Case in point, is your Australian company looking overseas to get staff.

It seems to be a common situation.

I am from Northern Indiana. I live in New Carlisle and work in South Bend at CTM. The work around here is shaky one month busy and the next just hanging on.
