I'm also seeing new little icons on the toolpaths too that look like a ladder.

You're seeing the Multi-threading icon

Some toolpaths I regen and nothing happens at all.

Turn on the Multi-Threading Manager, you'll see they are crunching in the background

No multi threading toolpaths here John.

I have HS scallop and old school scollap toolpaths that I hit regen and nothing happens.

I have a surface finish toolpath here that crashes MC 100% and I have sent it into QC.

Whats the Repaired NCI ?

I've been seeing the "repaired NCI" thing as well. as far as I have seen, it shows up after you try to regen a toolpath with no geometry associated with it. The "repaired NCI" is in the operation comments, and you can delete the comment, and "so far" everything seems fine.

The other problem I am seeing is that when you regen an op with no geometry, you get the usual "operation has no valid geometry" warning, but after you ok that message, the op shows as no longer being dirty, even though there is no toolpath generated.

Yeah I got this error too... I was thinking it was because I had an existing X3 file with toolpaths that I brought into X4, and then created new toolpaths in X4. This is just speculation on my part since I have not had any problems when starting fresh with X4.

Good catch boys, and the problem has been fixed. You'll see it in the X4-MU1 release.

The bug: A couple toolpath filter functions (arc & point distribution) were introducing an extra start-of-section record when the filters were applied. This was not a critical error as the NCI is checked and corrected for this during a file-get, but anything screwy with the NCI has a potential of causing problems farther downstream.

Also, some performance improvements were made with the speed of the filters.

Oh yeah, it's faster. biggrin.gif

David, that is the multithread icon. I don't see anything wrong with your pic.

Um it's in a High speed surface toolpath!

Like I've said I don't have any multi thread toolpaths but I get this ladder in "High Speed" toolpaths when they wont regen!
