Number of places after decimal

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can't change that.

 

Just out of curiousity, what would you like it to display?

I know it can be changed because I have done it before. Right now it displaying 6 places behind the decimal. 3 Is all I need. I just cannot remember how I did it before. I thought it was in somthing in windows.

So as you are typing in a value it automatically adds more decimal places?

Sorry, but I'm not aware of a way to change how many decimal places show up there.

 

MC will only post out the number of decimal places that are set in the post, regardless of how many decimal places are listed in that field on the parameters page.

When I select a point it fills it out to 6 places. I changed this once before but it was not in windows 7. It was in windows under somthing that made no sence to me but it worked.

I must say, I've seen this before where I get more accuracy than I'd like. Maybe it's a traslation issue or a slight difference in tolerance from the design software to MC, but I'll interrogate a depth and get something like -.499998. I know it's supposed to be -.5, and that's what will end up being in my posted program, but it's still annoying to look at.

exactly what I mean. I found it in windows where I changed it but it alreadys says 3 places. This just changed after updating to MU2. I just find in annoying to have to go change it.

Did you try thr Format Page of Regions and Language in the Control Panel?

Down at the bottom there is a button called "Additional Settings".

That may do what you're trying to do

Yes that is where I found the decimal setting I thought I had used before and it was still set to 3 places. Am I the only one that has this problem or does it not bother anyone else. Thanks guys for your help

I have the same problem when I extrude a solid to a point. It shows up with the same .000000 dec place. Wish you could set it to round up to a certain decimal place.

FTI, you are not the only one this bothers. I hate to admit it, but .499899 annoys the he77 out of me.

I realize this isn't the answer you are looking for however, you can change the output in the post by changing your format statements to only show as many decimal places as you would like to see.

In your config go to tolerances and set the toolpath tolerance.
