3D PDF from Verisurf

How does the 3D PDF work? I press the 3D button and nothing happens. I already restarted MasterCam and rebooted the PC.

I downloaded and installed it on my 64bit desktop and it works great. I loaded onto our shop desktop 32 bit and it works fine but the toggle cross section does not show up. The only difference is I have Adobe Pro, does that make a difference?

TK, this is bad a$$! You need to have solids or surfaces visible. I tried it with wire frame and it farted. As dumb as this may sound, you do have Adobe pdf installed, correct?

Updated the installs.

 

Changed the 3DPDF tool, so that it saves the PDF file into the MCX file folder instead of the data folder.

Is it possible that the update removed the 3DPDF command from the Verisurf menu at the top of the screen? I can not see it. When I install the previous version, it is there.

I installed the latest version and now my 3dpdf tool is missing?

I have the same issue. If you look in the MBD applet in the opreations manager screen, you will see the icon there but I would really like to see it in the top menu.

I love the Verisurf tools Ernie, thanks for them, unfortunately I can't install the X7 version listed above.

My IT department is saying it is giving our anti-virus software fits. We are using: TrendMicro Office Scan - Version 8.0

Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Kevin, the problem with the file is not that is has a viruse it is that it has not been downloaded what they consider an acceptable amount of times. Microsoft does this as well and the magic number for them is 100K. Verisurf does extensive testing to make sure the stuff is virus free, but noting can be done about false positives.

Do you have the latest Adobe reader? Maybe you need that. I know the front computer don't have it and boss only got a black/blank square on the PDF

Yes I do,

 

It is the red icon with the 2 triangles that allows you to see the section. The black arrow to the right allows you to define the way the section is done.

My computer is 64bit win7 and it shows up, the shop computer is 32bit xp and it does not show up?

Well since it relates to Adobe I would assume you are not running the same versions on both.

 

Lets us know, but all we do it make the file we do not control what goes on inside of the Adobe reader.

It works with Adobe version 11. You may need to check for updates, here is how to check for updates in Adobe Reader.

Ok, that was it. I had Adobe version 10 so i upgraded to 11 and it works now. Oh and you have to down load 11. The update won't up date to 11 from 10
