I remember my dad playing "A burning Ring Of Fire" in our 56 ford wagon on the way to Corraganvill.

I also enjoyed his 4 and 8 track tapes.

And now on some long trips my son will request his cd's.

Jhon Ritter was a good guy.

This is wierd, I had his greatest hits CD in on my way to work this morning. I got it one piece at a time, A boy named Sue, ... clasic country. I just had a hankering to unload the Metallica and listen to a little country.

Yep, sad news....Was listening to hurt on the way to work this morning. Love that song. Gotta love a man that isnt afraid of remaking a Nine Inch Nails song.

yes.....sad about Johnny Cash and Warren Zevon....shocked about John Ritter.....did anyone see the Warren Zevon special on VH1....his last recording?...it was an excellent show

I was working up HURT on the guitar last night to do at a local folk club I am involved with. It is a pretty easy song to play and sounds great accoustic.

I was deeply moved by the video the first time my wife and I heard it. When it ended we just sat there looking at each other for an extended amount of time. I found the song, though written by someone else, paralleled Johnny's life.

Who among us do not know the words to Folsom Prison & Ring of Fire?

Jackson “We got married in a fever”, when sang wife his late wife June Carter also became a country standard as well.

 

But hey, this man could also act; remember the time he played a con-man crook in Little House on the Prairie? A fake minister that was looking to scam the good folk who ultimately atoned for his own selfish ways only and transformed into a very caring and loving person.

 

Cash was not very pretty in the real sense of the word. He was merely beautiful and that’s for sure.

Very sad day indeed.Johnny Cash may be gone, but his music is here to stay forever...

There is still David Allen Coe left to play some "real" country music and be seen live.

That is very sad .

When I was 14 I was learning English listenin` to the Voice of America Special English Program overseas broadcasting and from 21.30 till 22.00 was my favourite time : country music ,rock,jazz standart .

And when I heard the first time his "Ring of Fire " - such a voice !

I have a lot of his songs but the Ring of Fire is special.

Sad ,sad news .
