Another GoPro Video. This time rotary peel milling on our VM3 with HRT210 4 axis. Using axis substitution.

Pretty sweet. So you just cut to the center of rotation and then used a toolpath with axis substitution?

how did you start the cut, did you make another path to get into the material and then run the peel mill?

 

I had a short line that I cut using a copy of the toolpath but a had axis sub turned off. Then I switched to Dynamic Area this morning because it had entry controls. Now I have it in a single path.

Cheers for the help I cracked it about 45 mins before seeing this, plan ended up being roughing the center in a lathe and using dynamic contour and 3d hybrid on another plane to grab the little bits I couldn't reach with the contour. I'll post up a vid when I run it. Been reassigned to a most important rush job for now.
