Pulling the plug on X7

Well, I have been running almost exclusively for some time now on X8........

 

Time to pull the plug on X7.....

I have been using X8 for everything since about a week after launch, however I do keep my installs of everything since X5 so if I were to have a problem opening an old file or something not going as planned I can at least move to the older version pretty much pain free.

I have never liked having several versions installed

 

I'll "generally" keep it to 2 versions at one time......If I have a good setup, I've  never found a reason to go back

Been using X8 for a while now and love it.

 

Still have v9 installed for the more complex jobs.

Ya I have been on X8 for a few weeks and Now X7 seems weird.

Any of you guys hear anything new on the Mill-Turn app?

 

It's been a couple of years since I last worked with it.

I haven't seen or heard anything about it anywhere.

Nothing but X8 since the first day it was available for download.

 

I've always gone all-in with every release immediately.

 

I always think I'm going to get burned by jumping into big projects with new software... but so far no problems... just a few work-arounds.

X8 out of the box was very similar to I had my X7 setup as, so for me there wasn't much of a change

Nope, I use Mask on Arc regularly....I have need had a single issue....

 

 

No issues in Verify either, unless I don't understand that issue fully?

I have been using X8 before release almost full time. really like the changes and the Graphics for me was a much needed change. The Vaporware is really nice and like to use that much more.
What sucks is when a customer calls and asked to program there part for them in X6 or X7 and having to go back because they want the files.

I'm putting in a request for a refund of all of my maintence fees from X5 to X8, Then I'll be pulling the plug on X8.

Had to reassign pan to a hot key

And turn on spin in cfg.

Tony why do you have to give Pan a hot key as it all ready has one. The shift key works great while holding down the middle mouse roller.

I had X5 through X8 installed. I removed X5 to make room on hard drive for Catia R23. Afterward the icon in Windows explorer no longer showed the last saved .jpg of each file. Instead it just shows X8 or whatever version the file was last saved in. This happen to anyone else?
