That is telling you it is setting the Tool plane or the Construction plane to another location or WCS. this why using the Gnomon helps compared to using the lines origin.

J you saw my Cimco posting did not do anything but select your op7 and post. but I did not have your Mazak post to post but used a Mattsura post to get the results.

Mr J , i sent some followups and a least one screen shot to get the backplot to work correct. as for outputting arc moves that post no issues. Shown in pictures. As for Verify it has issues trying to handle the Control motion in the versify. I would use were anyways and all will go well Grasshooper.

So you know the Swept2R is the roughing chook for Swept 2D then there is Swept3D.

In this video fast forward to the Boundry box and notice I just input what size I want and it sets it evenly.

Now X9 will let you just input +.25 in the X & Y and added it evenly but not in the X lacking the option to set for center.

if you are in 2017 and using the bounding box option under wireframe set the origin to the center and then go to the X value and hit +.25 and it is add .125 to each side. you do not have to hit both directions. this same in 2017 and 2018. I like that I can just tpe a size and will expand it evenly in X for example.

Can you supply the part really makes easier for a sample. I am figuring this to be a EDU file that is fine. Also as you can see all are thoughts are coming in 2017 Version of Mastercam.

I just made it this morning based on what you shared. I use there print and I say I do use there print to.going add more down the road like adding a vise and tool paths and view sheets. but all in 2018.

I would like know the time difference to. yes a little costly for the tool but like Gcode said what was the time savings. When I watched the video all I thought was a barrel tool my self. -

Frank we have the MDM for Data Management and revision control from the NC files to the Mastercam files but we have nothing to for Tool management at this point. I am going into a meeting with the MDM developer in about an hour. I will ask if there are any thoughts for adding any type of tool management in near future Frank any cahnce you and me spoke? -
Don, you said you are up and running right? Ron, he needed to have his system set for Nethasp. In 2017 when you install compared to old installs it will look for any License so if you install it as a Hasp and you only have Nethasp it will search for the Hasp then look for a Nethasp then onto the File license. So if it finds a Nethasp even though it is set for Hasp it will pull a nethasp license but not toggle it in the Nhasp.exe to nethasp. So what happens is when it went to check the license to start are Cimco products it did not know to look for a nethasp license. Hope this helps.

For you folks that loose the option to say pick a line say during trimming . Try this most of you run other software's at the same time. Next time it does this try closing all other apps like Mail and Browsers and see if it lets you pick.

Cimco does not offer tool management at this time that I know off on the US side for sure not. Now most does not know that Cimco does have other tools like Probing , Posts and CAM path tools that work with Mastercam. -
Lying to HST toolpaths to get motion you want??

Don't just follow. I will spend hours some time picking things to cut away air or making the tool do what I want. it would be nice at times to have more control in a single operation. But then more people would complanine saying to many settings and options.
