  4. I would look at Doosan, Kia and Haas. Make sure you have local support for parts, repairs and training.

  6. If you want a decent machine in the same era look at a used Hitachi-Seiki. No experience with Fadal's.
  7. I am looking for a 30x16 machine (VMC) with 20"of Z travel as well if anybody has something close. I have contacted Doosan numerous times but little response.
  8. Greg, As far as I know the "Surface Normals" are the green arrows, watch the direction they are pointing in. Click on the arrow to reverse. At least this is what I was taught at In-House. Good luck.

  17. Here is some old literature that I dug up, not sure if it is clear enough. Send me an email and I will email you the pdf, too large to attach. We only use High Speed Steel on our Macor, all manual machines for this stuff since it is prone to cracking and chipping. Good luck.
