  1. The G100 and G200 are subs calling programs O9010 and O9011, they have G80 in them. Could it be that there is another G80 in the G200 call?
  2. Hi, My machine is hanging up on the G80 (line 480) at the end of the tapping cycle. Fanuc Oi-MB control. I was using X3 on this one, I tried X5 and it is the same code. Any Ideas? Here is the code: N370 T14 N380 M06 N390 G100 N400 (MAX - Z2.) N410 (MIN - Z-.27) N420 G00 G90 G54 X.288 Y.1942 S50 M03 N430 G43 H14 Z2. M08 N440 M05 N450 M29 S50 N460 G98 G84 Z-.27 R.1 F1.25 N470 Y-1.0058 N480 G80 N490 M09 N500 G200 N510 M06 T22 N520 M30 % Thanks John
  3. If you create solids within Mastercam they will not have any edge curves.
  4. Welcome to the Forum! If you bring a model into Mastercam sometimes there are no edges (depending on the type of file). When ever I am programing I always use as many 2d tool paths as possible so you need the edges or curves to drive the geometry. I usually create my curves on a separate level. Good luck.
  5. James what other lathes would you recommend (2 axis)? Thanks
  6. So the machine is top notch and the control is $xxxx?
  7. We are looking at several lathes and would like to know if anybody has a Mori Seiki Mapps III control? Pros and cons? Thanks in advance!
  8. Does this control come with the collision avoidance software? I was told the main computer has a 40 gig harddrive (partitioned in half). Thanks
  9. Thanks for the replies! Is it worth hooking the control computer up to the internet?
  10. Hi, I thought I would post this here as it will get more traffic. There was a post in the Machine/ Cutters forum but there is not that much traffic there. Has anybody used this control (Okuma Genos lathe)? What are you using to program it? Does MC work well with it? Any information would be great! Thanks in advance
  11. I was told Taiwan by a friend but the sales guy (new) said Japan....I beleive Taiwan or China?
  12. Does anybody have an Okuma Genos lathe? Pro/Cons? Looking at Mazak and Mori as well. What about DMG (3rd or 4th choice)? Thanks
  13. Single flute router type cutters work well on this stuff.
  14. I have Catia and can translate some files if you need. Just let me know.
  15. Welcome to the forum. I am not sure what you are trying to do but if it is a simple letter try contour with comp turned of. I am assuming SW for MC has contour. Good luck!
  16. Rick did you try it in X4 as well? Send it over and I will try something.
  17. If you have NX7.5 with Teamcenter it will assign the rev number for you, much more expensive then SolidWorks but much more powerful. Everybody I know that has and uses Solidworks loves it. Lots of people to help you on here as well.
  18. Yes the prints thing is huge as JP mentioned and worth looking into IMHO.
  19. Go have a look at NX 7.5. I had the same opinion with drawing in Mastercam and I was at a course (NX 7.5) last week and all I can say is WOW. Not sure about SolidWorks. Good luck!
  20. Which Nvidia card is it?
