Does the tap have a center in the drive end? I have put a single flute counter sink in the spindle and hand feed into the tap center. Then turned the tap by hand. Turn, back off, turn, move z down, repeat until the tap is straight.
Check your planes tab if Display relative to WCS is unchecked they should all have the same name.

How is it possible for the planes to be flipped if all I did was create a WCS and start to create toolpaths? Your tool plane and construction plane were not set correctly in the view manager when you started your toolpath.
Searched but could not find the same problem.
On a 2D contour if I change the start point using start point - move dynamic. I loose control of the operation manager. Any click in the OM just beeps. I can save, continue drawing, rotate, ect just no OM. Starting a new tool path or minimizing and then maximizing will restore OM control.
Can anyone repeat?
Make sure the X axis of your toolplane is facing the correct dirction. Most likely you will have to create your own toolplane to achieve the output you want.
You can single step forward with the mouse by clicking step button that is beside the stop button in the verify dialog. It would be nice if the key corresponded to backplot.
Here's one that has been driving me nuts. RMB - Edit Selected operations - Change NC File name. I swear that the file NC name used to update when the Operation Toolpath group name was changed and you went back into RMB rename the NC.
If the operation group was called TOP then file name would be TOP.NC. Changed the operation group to "Top 1st op" RMB Change NC File would automatically change to the file name to TOP 1ST OP.NC
System Configuration - Toolpath Manager - NC File - Toolpath Group Name is checked.
Currently my NC file name remains whatever it was set to last.
Thanks
There was a program floating around that would automate screen clicks in dialog boxes, cant remember the name right now but the program would let you use five free. Revtco Rtvro???
The find overlap chook FindOverlap.dll might work for you. Or draw a rectangle around the largest portion to profile then use single entity selection to cut between parts. I dont have nesting so I cant help you their.
In back plot if you have a solid try turn of shading If you are in verify there is a icon that looks like a file folder with a red exclamation mark. That icon opens Verify Options try checking Translucent Stock.
Welcome to the forum
When you say cut did you actually cut on the machine. It is possible that the code is correct.
Is the top of your stock actually where you think it is? Was it machined before you drilled? Is the tool length offset correct. Is your Z in your work coordinate system (ie. G54) correct? Did your drill pull out? just a few things to look at on the machine side.
Hi All,
When I try to run an engraving tool path I receive the following errors.
After the errors the Geometry shows no entities but if open the chain dialog all the entities are there.
I used to be able to define the engraving tool with a 0.0001 tool tip. Now I have to go over .0004 or I get the error "The tip diameter can not be zero."
Not sure with which MR or SP engraving blew up as I have not used it for awhile. I have sent files to my var, they work on their system.
Any ideas?
Thanks
