hello all. I started new job today, and will be programming this machine. We have AE coming out in a couple weeks to help get me going on how to operate. I have been reviewing existing programs (catia) and noted that work part origin is not referenced to center of rotation as you would on a trunion style machine. Is this machine not considered a trunion where I have to know exact position of part to machine c/line?
Would you guys know if possible to change feedrates during a 5 axis curve toolpath.?
I am cutting a long 200" swarf wall, using 5 axis curve, with varying heights and am getting deflection at the taller areas. Would like to slow tool down here.
Any ideas??
Gcode,
Who did you deal with for post?
We are in need of a right angle head post for our 5 axis SNK A,C head that would support working at tilted planes.
Our installation was done thru the web download file, and sample files were not included along with this.
Was hoping someone here had accsses to sample files and could share with me 2 files. i am looking for sample on multiaxis parallel to surface and parallel to multiple curves.
Oh, these would be required for X6
Thanks in advance.
Ron. With all the $$$ your customer will be making he could get some cheap taiwan 50 taper machines then go with some 2" hanita wavecutters. He'll have to order bigger bins for all them chips you'll be making.
Heavy Metal,
I had a situation such as yours where i need the center curve for some funky geometry. The solution was to go to native model, in this case Catia, and save the geomtry used to create model out as IGES. Is this an option you may have?
Starting a new project that requires use of adjustable boring heads in the .750-1.500" range.
This will be short production runs of say 20-30 pcs per.
Looking for advice on choice of Boring heads, I do not want to use Criterion style heads because of the skill level of our machine shop, but also do not have the budget for Komet style heads.
Any Ideas of other brands that are reasonably priced.?
