Drawing calls out a taper in a bore as .150:1
Could someone explain how I could draw this up or how to convert to degrees or point me to document that would explain how ratios work.
Thanks
I am programming a hass trunnion and a DMU. With the hass machine I do use misc values to force bias. For the DMU I have no control as we are using 3rd party post processor and the misc switches are only used at MC posting level and not referenced or read in NCI file. In the past using APT files I could control bias with statement such as LIMIT/ CAXIS,0,-180.
I have been told that I can insert PP statements using Manual Entry that would be included in the NCI file. Would you guys know the syntax for adding statements?
From being involved since Win 3.1 I suppose I have retained some old paranoid habits. But Mr. Bear you have given an excellent example of why this habit should be put aside. THANK YOU
I've always locked my toolpath after completing each position, just an old habit if for no other reason. Now I learn that my procedures are asking for trouble, like a loaded rifle on the wall?
I am working with Generic Hass VF-TR 5ax Mill.
I prefer to use the Reference Point retract method to clear tool for rotations, but posted output does not add the "G0" and keeps these moves at feedrate. Any idea on what needs to be edited in post, or perhaps i have a misc value set incorrectly.

under IGES settings, their is a setting that reads something like "import planes as lines" this is turned off by default. Turn it on and it might be what you are looking for.
Im attempting to hack together a post for Okuma Mill.
Need to insert G71 Z......., (with Z= initial clearance height) prior to a drilling cycle.
I have edited pdrill as below
Mt attempt gave me this result:

Hello I am also new to this machine and I'm sure you will get better advice from others. My programs output that code with Z0, I take it to be similar to G91 G28 Z0 to send Z axis home.
Prior to coming on board full-time, I have provided this company with full 5 axis raw data apt source files. They use Icam to post and has worked out well with no issues.but this was for other type 5 axis mills with head/head configurations. I was hesitant to try same on dmu as I have zero experience on trunion style machines thinking I had to know exact positioning,I will try test program thru ICAM tomorrow. If no luck, who would you advice we buy MC post from? I've seen references to Inhouse and cimquest posts in other posts.
