Prior to installing X6. I would like to remove X4 from my system...Should I use the Windows remove program feature or is there a more through/safer way to remove without hosing current X5 install?
Please look at file I loaded that shows the wierd results i get when I try this toolpath,
Copied to X5 folder Swarf_Dan.Mcx_5, File was to big to attach in message.
Edit this registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Mastercam.exe\shell\open\command "C:\mcamx4\Mastercam.exe" "%1" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx5\Mastercam.exe"
reboot, then you will be able to find X5 under change file association and make it stick.
I need to export Master Cam files to Step 214. Options tab during export is greyed out, Is it possible to switch export to 214 or does Mastercanm only offer 203 translations?
What would be proper way to disable canned drill cycles?
I disabled at MD/CD but post still shows they are enabled ( see attached images), and output still has g81.
Is there a switch that tells post to ignore these settings?
Should i manually edit post to no$ ?
You can still create your 5-axis drilling toolpath with just the points. Use only points instead of points/lines and use surface as tool axis control. If no surface exists, create a draft surface of your existing spline/geometry.
On very large models I get similar results, the way to fix what I suspect you are experiencing is the shade setting resolution.
You can find under Screen \ Shade settings \ parameter...i run at .008/.012 on larger models.
If in X5, take a look at sample file \multiaxis\wirfeame\parallel to curve inch.mcx-5.
This toolpath is also rounding corner, but backplot does not show violation of that bottom corner.
Also look at cut parameters\parameters for surface edge handling..has option to maintain outside sharp edge.
