Maybe you could post up a file that you created with Your threadmill tool and Path. Myself or one of the other very knowledgeable peeps could have a look at it. -
Where do you have your precision slider at? If you slide it all the way to the right it's usually overkill and will take forever. You can change your Precision Index # in the mastercam simulator defaults, I have mine set to 1.5.

I've read about several spindle issues on those as well. Have you checked on Brother? Don't know if they have much that's reasonable for 5 axis though?

Spent several hours on the phone with CNC.... Ended up having to do a whole uninstall and reinstall. Something was hosed in my machine definitions. Luckily the custom ones I used were fine? Very strange, but glad to be back! Only thing I forgot to save was my workspace, so gotta d!ck around with that Thanks Mike H. @ CNC

Ok, I think I may have misunderstood. I do use the design workspace... I was talking about when I choose a Machine I get the Crash....

You can create toolpaths on a part in Design mode??????? You have to select something like Mill, Lathe, or Wire.... When I do that Mastercam instant crash report. I'll get with my dealer tomorrow. I've been using Mastercam since X2 and never had anything happen like this before

MC did create a stock workspace file after I moved it. That fixed half of the problem (will stay open now), but when I select my Machine (mill) instant crash report...

Thank you G, When I relocate my mcamx.config Mastercam will stay open UNTIL I select something other than Design for my machine. At that point I get another crash report

Ok, so for some weird reason every time I open X9 I get the MC has stopped working in about 5 seconds! What can I do besides reinstalling? I'm the Only person that uses this rig and I am the Admin..... I haven't made any major changes since yesterday? I have restarted my computer twice. If I have to reinstall, will someone refresh my mind on what all to save, like my config and tools.

Technically it was $20.95 after shipping (to here at least). I just ordered it as a reference, as my GD&T is pretty weak

Most of their stuff is really good, Frank is a good guy and will make sure your happy with your purchase. I've got some of their endmills, chamfer tools, and ER collet chucks. Another distributor I've used a Lot is http://latheinserts.com/ He's Cheap, Good, And Fast!

Use these guys for retention knobs http://www.jmperformanceproducts.com/retention-knobs.aspx I haven't had any problems out of Techniks toolholders. About to order several of the HPI MX Chucks for low run-out.

I'd say that's a pretty decent price on that box. Should run mastercam at a good pace. I don't have personal exp with that video card, as I have the 4000. You'll want a little more Ram in the near future tho.

Do you have Rapid Retract ticked? Maybe try some incremental values instead?

The UMC SS model has 15,000 rpm. Why would they even offer a Five axis machine with 8100 rpm?? Not like it's 50 taper or a torque monster lol
