Yeah I'm having some extra material printed on the bottom side to have a flat surface to rest upon.
Tabs aren't really going to be my friend as I believe I can hold it in soft jaws for the first two op's.
I'll look at Helical tools as well.
In the near future I've been tasked with machining about a dozen Printed 6al4v Ti parts. I would compare the parts similar to an AR Lower receiver in shape with some thin features. Machining time isn't part of the quote but good parts are lol. I will get one or two practice parts to try out. Unfortunately these will be done on a Haas Mini Mill at least it's in good shape...
Programming in MC 2017
I'm guessing Harvey Tool is gonna be my go to. Most tools are going to be < 3/8"
The thing I love most about wear is that its really hard to get a CRC alarm cause you didn't make a correct lead-in move.
Wear Is the Only comp I'll ever use.
I know this is old but it happened to me today on a new install of MC 2017. I tried all of the above, but no luck.
The place I'm at now has these computers on lock down (almost un-useable) so I have no admin rights. It's even a act of congress to upgrade to a MU1 or 2.
This system is on a net hasp and all install locations were directed to original locations.
This error will not let you post process at all.
What you guys think? I can call my reseller first thing, but this is always my go to.
You have to switch something in the Settings Page. It's been about a Year I can't exactly remember, but it's only like 5 keystrokes....
You are basically telling it to look in the "user area" instead of the normal storage area.
You'll need to draw the tool 2D geometry if you want to see what your doing in verify. You just draw the radial tool profile with the bottom of the cutter at X0 Y0 in the positive quadrant from top view.
This has been explained several times, just do a search on this forum.
The place I just left had a 4th axis DDRT on a Mori for 4ish years with zero problems. I programmed it the whole time.
They are sweet! Maybe you got a lemon?
Waterline really isn't made to machine floors. Use the waterline path to get your walls and radius transitions. Several other finish toolpaths work better on floors.
Reko beat me to it ^^
Copy those operations a few times to break the program up into smaller segments. Just change the Z starting and finishing depths. That way you can fit into your controller?
