    Hi all, I just checked Ron's examples and i didn't know that trick with light offsets... but i didn't see obvious difference with classic chaining. In which case do you need to use it?

    Are you sure your chains were drawn at same Cplane? same Z depth? Post a file if you need help

    I bought a spacepilot almost 10 years ago and I can't work without it anymore. I even mapped left,middle and right mouse buttons to give my right hand fingers some rest. Only issue I have is with Vericut 9 which is not compatible with this old model. I would need a brand new enterprise model but it's not cheap... and my Spacepilot still works like a charm with Mastercam and others software.

    If it's a wireframe 2D contour you can transform your arcs into line segments. If you don't want any arc moves then I guess you can edit your control definition to break arcs.

    Are you sure your issue is about Mastercam command not with your chamfer tool capabilities? I mean, even with a chamfer mill with a perfect theoretic 0 diameter (sharp edge) tool bit you won't be able to machine sharp angles like those on your screenshot just contouring (especially if you're machining in Top view) . If you could use a tilted plane it wouldn't that easier but you could try to follow angle edges (try engrave command to see what I mean).

    Le truc à savoir c'est que ce forum est mis à disposition et maintenu par un revendeur alors ce sujet est sensible car il impacte directement leur business. Comme il a déjà été dit tu peux utiliser une version HLE, qui dispose de toutes les fonctions de la version industrielle et qui est seulement limitée par l'impossibilite de passer au post processeur. Pour ce qui est de trouver un forum Fr actif et réunissant autant d'utilisateurs expérimentés avec Mastercam ça n'existe pas malheureusement... Encore une fois, les gens ici t'aideront volontiers mais il ne faut pas tricher.

    Et manifestement ces versions de Mastercam ne sont probablement pas légales, sinon pourquoi ne pas utiliser les versions localisées en français? If legit, I'm wondering why a french user works with a US release (and doesn't even try to write in English here)..

    I didn't try but it could work: If you have multiaxis you could try one drill toolpath per hole then multiaxis linking toolpath.

    I'm using an Evoluent Vertical mouse 3. I bought it in 2010 and it's still do the job...

    You also can lock any toolpath too (select toolpaths and press L key to lock/unlock).

    Yes, in ribbon bar settings you can check/uncheck tabs you need. Just uncheck tool selection tabs.

    I guess this is because of 'smart' Tool tabs which have been implemented in Mastercam 2020. You can deactivate that useless thing...

    Something to notice (for those who still don't know...) is that Mastercam 2021 will bring a new drill toolpath to manage this kind of stuff.

    Joined april 30th 2002. We just got fresh V9, I was lost looking for help. I've learnt a lot here and I try to help in my turn.

    Mill-turn is installed with Mastercam installation but it's unlocked/shown in menu only if you got a MT licence and specific machine environnements (post/machine simulation).

    I think you can't get mill-turn with HLE release.

    Yes i read too fast and composite holders can only be stacked between them. With cylindrical extensions i usually tweak segment length to mimic its projection.

    Actually there is a way to adjust tool projection but it's a little tricky and undocumented (found that by mistake)

    I'm experiencing this with 2020. It usually happens with solid chaining on my seat. I didn't find an other workaround than create a new toolpath...

    Thank you, i think this feature was broken a few release ago and i stopped using this since then (with several 2D contour toolpath). I wil retry!
