  1. Welcome to the forum, Narendra. I look forward to seeing what you can add to the forum by answering questions that AREN'T 13 years old.
  2. Possibly some help here (assuming you're using Win 10)... https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5645-rebuild-icon-cache-windows-10-a.html
  3. http://gmccs.de/downloads_x+.php
  4. All the offending faces were moved without problem in 2017. It appears to be an X9 glitch. Too bad for me because I'm not upgrading at this time. I got around it in X9 anyway.
  5. Nope. The text box doesn't appear until you click the arrow and simply starting to type doesn't make it appear (like other MC features sometimes get "woken up" just by typing). Imagine hovering over a surface and it doesn't highlight. It's just like that. It's weird because on some faces it works fine and others it doesn't. I can't seem to find a common denominator with troublesome faces. Restarting MC doesn't' help either.
  6. Has anyone ever seen the situation where after selecting the face(s) to move, no matter what you do, the arrow won't select to drag the face or enter a value? Using X9.
  7. Ha! You found my github repo. I'm a couple versions behind though.
  8. I believe net was supposed to replace coons, or at least be a new, hipper version of it...but as you can see, it was left in the software as a chook. I've had net fail when coons doesn't so I just go straight to coons every time.
  9. gcode must have you confused with Henry VIII.
  10. I can't think of a better way to describe it.
  11. Well, apparently the trial period is at least a decade. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to share this, JDub.
  12. That same thing can be done with standard zip files. You used to have to use the free version of WinZip, like you are with WinRAR, but now it's built into Winblows (select the files, right click, add to zip file). It's just a simplified way of the previous method that I mentioned, minus the little bit of compression that you gain.
  13. You need to copy all the files that are important (customized) to you and keep the latest versions easily accessible (and backup up too!). Tool libraries, holder libraries, power settings (or whatever they're called, I'm not a wire guy), posts, configs, defaults, CSVs, machine/control defs, RMB, workspaces, macros....etc. Then, if things get jazzed up, you can copy/paste your files over the MC default files and be back in business in no time.
  14. Simply *having* the ability to customize is both a blessing and a curse. When something like this happens and you can't get back to "your settings," it's a curse. It's only a curse because that's what you're familiar with. Had you made no customizitions to the default settings, you'd already be used to working with the defaults and you wouldn't even have noticed that there was a problem. If you customize things to your liking (which I do too), you need to backup all of the necessary files to a safe place that can easily be restored. Config files, tool libraries, ops libraries, posts, RMB, defaults files, etc. I'd even recommend making multiple backup files in multiple locations, just in case.
  15. Look for the README file under Start->MC whatever
  16. There is no list available to the public of the bugs that have already been submitted or what is being worked on. However, if you submit a bug report to QC, they will tell you if it's been submitted already, and usually the bug # so you can keep tabs on it when checking the list that Ron referred to above. The list that Ron is talking about is a list of bugs that have been addressed/fixed in the new release.
  17. Chook files attached. RepaintToolpath.zip
  18. To the best of my knowledge, you can't do it unless you use a little bit of help. I recently went through a fresh install of X9 and I have the same issue. Upon searching the forum, it appears that the option to NOT have the toolpaths display set to on, by default (CNC Software actually came up with that functionality for X9, but after much backlash, removed it from later versions) requires the use of an addon. I have it somewhere, but I'd have to search for it. It's an unsupported .exe by Roger Martin, Pete Rimkus or one of the other smart programmer guys over there. My memory could be a little off on the history of it, but that's the gist of it. You run this .exe one time and you're set for good. PM me your email address and I'll send it to you, if you'd like. Or you can search the forum for it. EDIT: I just found it, along with the documentation (I didn't read it though)...which leads me to believe that is, perhaps, supported.
  19. I see no such option in X9.
