Sure I will put it on the ftp site. In X3_fies called "block". I'm sure it is just something I am not seeing but we needed to do this yesterday and could not figure out how. Thanks for looking!!
Iscar holders and collets. If we are doing work where there is alot of cutting pressure we use exact size collets. We were taught to clean them out every time and use alcohol to clean them before putting them together. We use ER 16 and 32. For real heavy cutting we use Iscar low boy holders.( I'm not sure what ther are called) The whole collet is inside of the holder. Use a 1 7/16 box end wrench and get it as tight as we can. We have snapped one off but never has one pulled out of the holder.
XP
Trying to open both SLDPRT and SLDASM. or either
I will try to re-register the .dll (How)?
Don't know if there are Solids in file.just have a CD with about 30 parts and asmblys.
I will send you a file and see if you have the same problem. It is just a screw so I can't get in trouble for that.
Running X3MU1 I am having the similar problem Concept tooling was having in a previous post "Solidworks 2009"
Error message:
"cannot find parasolid data in solidworks file".
John P said in that post MU1 should work. But It still doesn't. Help please???
I need to put in a error message to tell me if cutter comp turns on or turns off in a arc. in searching everyone says to use part of mpmaster. I found where it is but I need to figure out to stick it in my posts. Some of the items are not in my post.
pcompwarn #Cutter Compensation Check
if prv_cc_pos$ <> cc_pos$ & cc_pos$ & gcode$ > 1,
[
if compwarnflg = 0, result = mprint(scompwarn)
spaces$ = 0
n$, pspc, *sm00, " ", scomm_str, scompwarn, scomm_end, e$
spaces$ = sav_spc
compwarnflg = 1
]
pspc is not in my post. Yes I'm using an old post but it works for our shop. Is there a short version that will do the same thing as above.
In over my head
The Starrett Level is worth the money. When we moved location of our shop, me and another guy leveled 13 machines. It helps with 2 people. Do like everyone says -check level, be sure the machine is on 1 piece of concrete. And take your time. The closer you get it now the less trouble you will have in the long run.
6061 thank goodness. I found a cutter in MSC
part # 40232837
#6 .098Ø .400 LOC but it says 32 to 64 pitch. since it is not a blind hole will that affect me. For that matter could I go up to #10 it gives me a bigger diameter.The only thing I can see this affecting is it may put a chamfer on the top of the .250" hole at the bottom of the thread. or am I nuts??
OK I have an odd size. .28125-80 UNS-2B .310 deep
minor .2677 +.0031/-0
pitch .2731 +.0034/-0
major .2813 +.0061/-0
.25" hole past it so it is not a blind hole. Anyone know a thread mill to use. Or do I just need to find a small single flute??
Program the job. Use a vb script to post for all the machines. All the machines have a tool list at the first of the program. Then the set up sheet will be the same no matter what. I even have our set up sheets where it has the search numbers for the different machines. The set up sheets have a place for notes for each tool,the G54,g55,g56,g57 position, Z offset position for each tool. I asked a long time ago about different machines and most said they programmed to the slowest machine then you would know it would work on any machine. HTH

Where do I go to change the color of the buttons on the tool list filter page. Another box in programming is set to be a shade of blue when active. But the programmer didn't do anything to make it that way. Mine just stays gray, you just have to look and see that it is pressed.
