There was a recent thread where some work holding screws were mentioned. They required tapped through holes in the work and a tapped hole in a fixture plate. Does anyone remember what they are called?
Have you got a picture of this thing?

CNC illiterate Bosses should never be allowed to buy equipment We had a boss that bought a super crappy 3 axis / Chevalier thing. It's an organ donor. We stole the power drawbar, power knee, and 220V plug off it... That's it.
Travis might be on to something there. If several endmills have been broken in a collet, the ID of the collet fingers could be getting deformed into a bell mouth shape essentially making the overhang length greater.
The G125 shift method
Put something like this in front of each EIA process.
Pass values for C, X (radial), Y, Z, from the Mazatrol main pgram and you're dancin.
M212
G0 C#3
M210
G17 ( X-Y PLANE SELECTION)
G125 X#24 Y#25 Z#26 Q0 R1 S0. (RUN G125 PLANE SHIFT)
G code based on X0 Y0 Z0 C0 goes here
I'd recommend using the G125 coordinate system shift. Program the EIA routine at 0,0,0 and shift the coordinate system via G125 from the variables passed from Mazatrol main.
Go ahead and send a .MC9.
Good evening, and sorry for the long reply time. Can you explain the goal a bit more clearly?
Really busy the last few days, and more busy ones to come. Replies might be a bit slow.
Try using an angled roughing tool path. It's way better than step. I use it for deep bores in 304 stainless and also for roughing plasma cut blanks OD as well as ID.
I run a Mazak too, but anytime I want to do an operation like you are talking about, I step over to MC and crank out an angled tool path. Set the roughing angle the same as your cone and you're dancin'
DON'T DO IT!!!
Unless you really need to.
And that's the story I'm sticking too. A local guy here did it on a 200SY and he was very sorry he did.
If you must, get Mazak to show you every parameter that needs to be changed. It's more than a few. If I remember correctly, you need to redo the entire Tool Data Page, offsets and tool libraries...
Victor, I'm not sure if I understand completely.
Did you create six rough turning operations in Operations Manager? If you did, you won't get all six to post out if MC thinks the material is gone.
Sounds like you're on the right track Bill. Good posts are key. Guys here will help you tweek the ones you have or set you up to buy killer proven posts. Posts aren't taboo here, asking for free ones is. If tweeking isn't your thing, just dig up a few bucks and get someone to do it for you sooner rather than later.
We run an Integrex 300Y. If I could turn back the clock I'd only invest enough effort into Mazatrol to turn softjaws.
Here's a thread that includes some tips on file handling on the Fusion control. http://www.emastercam.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...t=009446#000004
