  1. Thanks to you and all the others. Check back often.
  2. Welcome to Stillwater, NOW GO HOME!
  3. Hey! Quit picking on the dude. I think he's on to something. I'm gonna find me a grey haired airline captain to give me a biannual flight review (been four years since I flew last) pick me up 25,000 hrs of jet flight experience and be flying 747s next week. Adios machine shops.
  4. Busy here buying another Integrex. Never thought I'd see that day.
  5. Post Sippy Cup Syndrome can be rough on a guy too.
  6. Howdy Don. Welcome to the forum. What kind of cus-them tools are you trying to use? Lathe? Mill?
  7. Sorry to hear of the frustration Phil. I don't know the BOSS9 control personally, but from your description I'm betting that sign language (middle finger) is your only hope for communicating with that thing. In other news, a heat-stroked Jack Mitchell answers a wrong-number telemarketer call and pledges $450 for an inscribed paver "Reaganomics Rulz, Love Jack" to be placed in the walk near Reagan's tomb.
  8. Hey Ma, what's the name of that town where Jim works? That's Carbondale, Pa. Well evidently Carbondale just got hooked up to the internet and now Jim's gabbin with all kinds of machinists, or geeks, or something.
  9. Change the MC definition of the drill to 180 point???
  10. quote: "Would I let this guy drive my Porsche??" If yes, then they are worthy to hire. Um, so Andrew, can I drive your Porsche??? (where's that butt kiss smiley when you need it?)
  11. I need to make up some custom holders soon. Our Integrex uses KM63 tooling but not the stuff from the standard KM catalog, these tools need three holes in the gripper groove for the toolchanger to orient on. I am going to buy some of the blank holders, turn some stout long endmill holder bodies and have the holes for the endmills jig ground. I also plan to have a couple coolant grooves wired into the walls of the endmill hole so I can run through tool coolant. Since I can make the hole and OD profile of the holder any size, should I consider making them for shrink fitting? Does shrink work with tiny 1/8" shanks?? I like the glue idea, though I'd have to abandon the through coolant. Are you ready to suggest glue as a viable alternative to the set screw? I'm talking 1/2" and smaller in stainless. Frequent tool changes. Found a good quickset?
  12. Try create - curve - one edge curve - from solid. That will give you a simple wire feature (I hope) that you can pick on.
  13. Translate the wire and solid at the same time even if they are on different layers
  14. I'm interested too. I tried it not long ago for integrex code and MCU couldn't follow what was going on when X, Y, moves were performed at different C axis positions.
  15. Did you try ramsaver?
  16. Sorry about your loss. Pleased to hear of your pride in your dad's exemplary service.
  17. Winnie, the .lwn file, or lawn file, is used for precise trimming jobs that are way too small for the lawn mower. HTH. Harry teh clueless
  18. Find out what it's going to cost to get rid of the coolant before you agree on a price for the job.
  19. Go Marv!! Welcome to the forum. Conductance is a big deal with vaccum and it is proportional to cross section of the plumbing and also affected by length. I think that one 3/8 line on a 4'x8' fixture would be very short on conductance. Go big on the plumbing.
  20. Brendan, you're missing the whole thing! The little dude could give a rip about driving, he obviously wants to FLY.
  21. Good job dude. One of my FORMER friends turned out to be a cheat. He'd cheated on his wife pretty continually throughout his 20 year marriage before she finally split. I didn't find that out till the end. What a piece of crap. Him = fish eaten by a cat + picked out of the cat box by a dog + sticking to my shoe out in the yard.
  22. Did you check with Prototek?
  23. Mazatrol is nice for bolt circle and simple pocket kinds of programming but useless for fancy stuff. Mazak makes pretty decent iron and the control will run G code just fine.
  24. http://www.invert-a-bolt.com/ Thanks again
