What we did here is call the different resellers of different softwares and asked them to go and see 1 or 2 companies that uses their software with more then 5 machines connected to the server. That way we could talk to the end users ang get a demo from them (very different then a demo from the dealer).
At the end we went with Cimco DNCMax and it has been a charm to work with it. They made revisions to the software for our specific needs and the support from them is up there, where you expect it to be.
HTH
I don't know for you, but for me, the best place is still the reseller. Might want to give them a call. If not them, they should tell you who will be able to train you.
Hope that helps,
Make sure all operations point to the same nc file. ou can change it by right clicking on the operation(s) -> Change NC file name. Try posting again and everything should work properly.
Hope that helps,
Edit: Yeah, Waht john said...
Thad,
We have a lot of T888 machines and you are correct. The closest thing is G78 and there is no way of defining a minimum peck. Le me know if you need more info.
Have a nice day,
Kevin,
We have made a custom macro for our machines so that the machinist can place the part anywhere on the machine and everything works great.
Can't share the program but am can answer all of your questions if you need.
40+ CNC machines various types (intgrex, HBM with rotary, VTL, VTL with C axis) and 9 programmers (7 Milling and 2 turning). We are a job shop that can machine from the small to the enormous part.
Actually I also use WCS so I never have to rotate my STL files from one op to the other when in verify. You save the STL file when the operation is finished in verify and then press on the icon that looks like a floppy disk.
Hope that helps,

I am just curious as to why you would save stl files for each op?
I do it that way also because that way you don't have to verify the entire part everytime you want to verify the operation you just made. I know there is the fast forward button but even with the button some operations take more then 30 min. to verify. I just want to save some time by saving an STL after each operation.
Hope this makes sense.
