  1. Options are limited with working with the solid, When I need to, I'll create a surface off the solid, then un-blank the parent and create a boundry. Another way would be to create a fence surface at the edges of the surface you want to extend.
  2. Luckily we do have Vericut, but still tweaking the vericut machines. It didn't take Vericut to see that the code was garbage though. I'm guessing that axis subst doesn't know what to do. the part is straight up at A0B0, so I made a tplane at A90B0, then tried to subst X. I assume if I copy the model and put it in the correct orientation so subst can occur in the top plane the code would be correct....except for the AB output.
  3. My geo is flat, but I am on a trunion, the verify looks good but 90 deg off, and the code is garbage. If I do it on a standard 4th, subst y, I get good code but the verify is still off 90.
  4. poppycock...... doesn't change verify behavior at all.
  5. By changing a parameter on the Haas control box, you could use absolute if you want.
  6. Until you've felt tool pressure, you shouldn't be allowed to run an cnc. Until you've stood there with your knees knocking after your machine has crashed, you shouldn't be a programmer.
  7. I think the blue was to signify change, and give a Pro-e look. I liked the look of the gradient but in the end, felt it was a waste of resorces.
  8. Slice works well for me. Only keep wireframe that refs toolpaths.
  9. I would use a 5ax trunion style post to get that kind of output.
  10. How about an picture ? Rotary on its back, do you mean the rotary is rotating about Z ?
  11. One of the buttons on top of Operations manager.
  12. I think that simulation thats not based on the actual g-code is nothing more than eye candy. I hate that resources are being put towards this and other items when Verify and Mill/turn are sooo lacking........
  13. John, This has been giving me headaches for a while now. Your explanation is simple, but it never seems to work that way. I've had trouble matching up roll-die paths with 5 ax curves etc..
  14. Also try squashing the entities to a common "z".
  15. Threadmill it. Far better process.
  16. You should be able to just turn off filtering in your tool path parameters.
  17. Make sure that in the tool properties page that to tool file name is pointing to a bull and not a flat. In verify config, make sure the tool profile is set to "as defined"
  18. wouldn't the center of rotation need to be center of 17.1 for axis subst ?
