On the aircraft type parts I copy the part to a different level, leave 1 in its original location and orientation move the other to machining orientation. I create ref geo that I use to translate the part back and forth if need be.
So in your drill point manager, sort state is off... I have had trouble in the past with it using creation order, but not for a long time.
how many points are you dealing with ?
"Why is it that 99% of the resposibility of producing a part is that of the programmer"
Because the work gravitates to the people that can do !!
Are there Cmm and or smartscope programs needed ?
Does there need to be capibility studies done ?
gage r&r's ?
supporting documentation ?
+1 with stl files not sticking. As far as the Front plane thing, sounds like you have different wcs plane active, at times I'll have to create a plane relative to my current wcs.
I have the translator, For the most part it works fine. occasionally I'll have to step or parasolid out to Mastercam. I havn't tried to go from Mastercam back to Pro. Doubt it would work since all you would get into pro would be the brick. I have brought in some assemblies, nothing big. All components would have to be in same Directory as asm file. I don't think pdm would play nice.
Ya... thats what I'm using, and typing M1... Like I asked...... what are you typing in for the search ???..Yes it finds them, but they not aligned correctly due to M1's and M13's etc....
be nice if I could type M100-M199
OK. Got that now. Most of our mill turns use M100-M199 for wait codes "modes" as you call them. whats the best way to search for them, I tried M1 but that grabs all M1's as well as M13's etc....
