  1. Everything depends on pivot points, rotation directions and radial distances. Those thisnga are always different for each machne. And if you move the rotary, all of those things change. Mike Mattera
  2. It's the function of one or the other. You either doing drilling with a high retract or drilling from the R plane. Mike
  3. Tangent is automatic, if your using Autocursor. For those of you that dont like using the Autocursor, Pick the button. That's the difference between Automatic and Manual operation Mike Mattera
  4. Ya know guys.... They have been telling people to update their sims for over a year. The wait is about 2 weeks. Maybe longer now that everyone is getting their X packages (and disscovering they need to update their sim also). So when 10,000 people all need sims in the same month, there's going to be a wait. Mike Mattera
  5. Yes there are some bugs in the software. If you ask if something is a bug (here on the forum) you will usually get an answer right away. SO ASK YOUR QUESTION IF YOU HAVE ONE. Most of the alleged "bugs" or problems people have had were due to improper use of the new feature. Just because you dont know how to use it, or it does not work the same as V9, it's not a bug. Once again: If you have a question ASK IT! Mike Mattera
  6. Why is it everytime someone see's something different from V9 their first response is to turn it off? The dot at the center is useful for selecting the center of the arc. Mike Mattera
  7. Are you on a quest to find "Bugs" or are you looking for ways to get your work done. A "work around" helps you get your job done. As for a "bug" list and a "Work Around" list, That's what this forum is. It's a searchable list of how things work. And sometimes it shows that something does not work. In which case someone will come up with a way to work around the problem. Welcome to the forum. Mike Mattera
  8. The Space key if for Fast Point. When you need to enter an XYZ position, just press Space and then the Fast Point Box opens up. Then you can enter 0,0,0 as you did before in V9. Mike Mattera
  9. PDF files are NOT geometry. It's a picture and Bullines is refering to is (I believe) to contact your dealer regarding the Raster To Vector converter. If it a REAL part (i.e. something that must fit with a tolerance) then this is not the best way to create an NC program. PDF files are for previewing the part, quoting and such. NOT for making an accurate piece. Mike Mattera
  10. Circle tangent to 2 lines is a fillet. set the drop down menu that says normal to Circle and Bada Boom. Mike
  11. I still use the keyboard for 70% of my functions. The icons that were too far away and used most often get put under a new floating ToolBar or under the RMB. Mike Mattera
  12. I like the "Views" idea. You can go a little crazy with these. I only want the things I use "A LOT" in my RMB. Mike
  13. Mark H: Hold down the wheel on your mouse and move the mouse. Dynamic Rotation Hold down the Alt & wheel on your mouse and move it. Pan Mike Mattera
  14. A Fly-Out called "Selections" that contains.... End Selection Un-Select __Seperator__ Solid Selection Solid Edge Solid Face Solid Body That's what I teach others to put there. I hate having to go to the top right to "end" my selctions Mike Mattera
  15. I think I heard that somewhere. Because the "Apply" is also the enter key and you cant map it to do an "Apply" for closing a live entity. I think Mike Mattera
  16. Never forget to consider the obvious. Your probably right Pete! Mike
  17. Isn't V9.2 The Chinese Version That you can buy for $5.00 ? Mike Mattera
  18. I've drawn several part using nothing but the keyboard. Hot Key's abound in X. I use the mouse very little now (as I did in V9). As for configuring X: I believe you have to work with what's there to deceide what you like first before you start configuring. Some of the defaults might be nice if you just give them a chance. Once you get a feel for what you like, then make the changes. The only configuring I've really done is make some custom tool bars (End select, Unselect, Solid select). Mike Mattera
  19. I thought I was being hard on him implying his head could see no sunshine. But Brenden +1000 You did hit the nail square on the head. Mike
