Ok after I uninstall and re-install I get alarms of missing code
setupsheet.dll
xsnapshot.dll
lang.dll
tlist.dll
tpscketcher.dll
x+.dll
chgnci.dll
When I uninstall the X+ Folder is still thier and it won't let me delete it?
I'm not sure whats going on with my setup but under the McamX4/chook I have an X+/png Folder and I have a McamX4/chook/X+/png folder all under my chook folder?
Robert,
I'm finally back to this post I have a little time on my hands now. I have someone looking into what you have done for me but I’m going to do some of it on my own. I'm not much of a programmer outside of Mastercam so I need help. If I need to email you directly for some more assistance would that be ok or just keep re-opening this thread.
Thanks Jeff But the thru hole is 1/8 I need the tool to come to a point. I have noticed even with this spec their are difference in sizes depending on the tool company you look at I would have thought this would be a standard across the board?
Thanks again
I'm using the mpmaster post and this is how I have it set up
First you need to set Haas style
code:
# General Output Settings
# --------------------------------------------------------------------------
hel_2100 : no$ #Acramatic 2100 style helical moves, 0=no, 1=yes
force_dpts : no$ #Force XY output on all drilling lines including cycle call?
haas : 1 #Haas style peck drill and extended offsets, 0=no, 1=yes<<< This one
then in your pwcs you need this
code:
pwcs #G54+ coordinate setting at toolchange
if wcstype = two | wcstype > three,
[
sav_frc_wcs = force_wcs
if sub_level$ > zero, force_wcs = zero
if sav_mi9 = 1, workofs$ = sav_workofs
if workofs$ < 0, workofs$ = 0
if workofs$ <> prv_workofs$ | (force_wcs & toolchng) | sof,
[
if workofs$ < 6,
[
g_wcs = workofs$ + 54
*g_wcs
]
else,
[
if haas,
[
#p_wcs = workofs$ - five #G154 P1 to P99
#"G154", *p_wcs
g_wcs = workofs$ + 104 #G110 to G129<<< this one
*g_wcs
]
else,
[
p_wcs = workofs$ - five
"G54.1", *p_wcs
]
]
]
force_wcs = sav_frc_wcs
!workofs$
]

Hi Guy's
Need some assistance we just got some new work the first in over a year and the spec on the threaded features is SAE J514-4 Port. Never worked with this before and the print doesn't define it. We found the spec but the owner doesn't want to spend the money to buy it?
If anyone can give me a hand I would greatly appreciate it.

Well their are good Gundrill shops and their are not so good Gundrill shops. Most shops say that they can only hold .001 per inch on run out. If that’s not good enough you need to find a shop that will work with you. We ended up buying our own Gundrill because on some jobs that wasn’t good enough.
Did you look into Mastercam "U" pretty inexpensive also you can access some files that people here have worked on in the FTP site at the top of the page. And any other questions just post them here these guys know their stuff.

Need a little help with this one.
Just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. My reseller is also looking into it but can't hurt to ask the guru's.
I put my file on the ftp site X4 Files
link
File name (TED-846 new 8-19-2009.mcx)
Gcode,
Were can I find that, I have 2 Tilt Rotary’s that are different sizes so they have different centerlines I have a 5 Axis Post I purchased thru In-House.
It would be great to be able to program the way you said and then just input the number according to the Machine I'm going to run it in.
TIA
Ted
I'm not sure if anyone has come across this one yet but since X4 When you go into edit tool to set the feed rates if I type 4 then enter it won’t finish you need to type in the decimal and then use tab to go to the next window. It used to work were when you entered the amount then typed enter and it would put in the Decimal and advance to the next window but now that doesn’t work a bug or what?
I like keeping it simple go into Settings MD then Edit CD from their you click on the post processors button and ad the posts that you want I have 6 set to one Machine Def.
