  1. 19700 starts the kinematic distances. There may be others to actually turn it on
  2. be sure to add the radius for the tool to the trim geometry so it doesnt plunge on z
  3. I made a vibe fixture from t6 and they put in in the oven to weld it and when I put the finish profile on it it was a gummy mess.
  4. Yeah I would start it out at .001 depth cut.
  5. Tiny depth cuts with that much stick out. Also a shrink holder. Did you indicate the endmill in? Can you get a good blend of you lay it down and use a tslot cutter?

pretty soon everything will be subscription service. even your heated seats in your car lol https://reporterwings.com/news/automobile/ford-ceo-says-heated-seat-subscriptions-unlikely/
  7. I had this happen where a solid on an inactive level got selected when window selecting geometry.
  8. Check your power settings. 2 of our new workstations we're on recommended instead of high performance. I didn't understand why Camplete was faster on the older machine. Using performance made a huge difference.
  9. we use a misc integer to do repeats. you have to edit the post, or copy the operation we use k but you would change to L pdrillcommon post block if drillcyc$ > 3 | drillcyc$ < 8, #SET REPEATS FOR BORE CYCLES #if drillcyc$ > 3, [ result = nwadrs(strk, drl_prm1$) result = newfs(2, drl_prm1$) drill cycle pbore2$ #Canned Bore #2 Cycle pdrlcommonb pcan1, pbld, n$, *sgdrlref, *sgdrill, pxout, pyout, pfzout, pcout, prdrlout, [if drl_prm1$, *drl_prm1$], *feed, strcantext, e$ pcom_movea
  10. in verify it seems to clean up the rib with a custom profile for a feedmill type tool
  11. its going to backfeed over a rib left because the programing radius is less than the cutting radius. I'm going to have to adjust my plan
  12. You may have to uncheck start at middle of closed contours in lead in when you pick your new start point
  13. Commercially Pure titanium grade 2 It's round bar horizontal also so I need to start with the crest
  14. That would be a lot of carbide endmills. I need to remove about 100 pounds
  15. yea, I usually kept it far away then rest machines with a bull insert mill
  16. Does mastercam comp the optirough to feed mills if you use custom geometry?.
  17. any tips for cutting this? i do 6al4v all the time but i was told it will be different. its a large part lots of deep pockets
  18. We use the plugin and it took out one of the legs. It was fine the first time then he expanded the optirough boundary on the next part
  19. I think the acceleration stays the same the overall speed lowers
  20. We have ours at min arc rad at .002 and arc length at .002. One guy just had this happen but Camplete didn't report a collision. Bit it shows a weird loop in the path plot display. I'll have to check the arc page.
  21. If I recall you just kind of drag it up to the top of the lower bar and it'll lock in place. If you want the tabs on top that's right clicking on the toolbar and customizing options
  22. Yes it's telling you you are editing the machine for all of mastercam. It is possible to edit the machine in a local file also. You can use the machine copy plugin to make a backup or copy to mess with.
  23. I've noticed this on matsuuras also. Switching from splines to arks slows it down a little, even on rough settings.
