  1. I'm using X2 MR2 & when I backplot the "finish part, 1st side" group every thing looks OK. It spots at Z-.07, drills to Z-1.219 then taps z-.25.
  2. sharles You can also double click on your last entity to end a selection.
  3. You may also want to check this out.
  4. I've never had to do tapered threads, but here is a list of the G76 info
  5. Vector Raster The pic you have displayed (a jpg) is a raster file. If you remove all the coloring & shading from a raster file although it may look like lines, it is still a compilation of pixels, not lines & arcs. HTH
  6. If you look at the Environment Variables window, there are two sets of variables, System Variables & User variables. I was just trying to say that you should point the TEMP & TMP variables in both sets to the folder you created on your D drive.
  7. Create any directory that you wish to be used as windows temp directory. 1. Create a Directory under root eg: D:Temp 2. Right Click on My Computer icon from the desktop and goto properties page. 3. Go to Advanced tab sheet, you will find "Environment Variables" button at the bottom of the tab sheet, click it. 4. Set the "TEMP" & "TMP" variables to point to your folder. (I have TEMP & TMP setting under user & system variables just to be safe I would move both sets to your folder) 5. Reboot your PC. HTH
  8. I believe there is vol 1 & vol 2 for both X & X2. If you look at the books link above you see the X2 versions and further down the page the X versions. HTH
  9. I would still assume that it decompresses to a local temp folder. e.g. C:Documents and SettingsChuckLocal SettingsTemp
  10. Are you installing the web download? I'm just guessing but it might be trying to decompress file prior to installation & there is not enough room to decompress the files.
  11. Print out the V9 to X function map in your MCX documentation folder & keep it handy for a week or two. You can also get a copy of the current demo CD from your reseller to play with at home if you can't take your hasp home.
  12. You have to have your pics available online. Many here use photobucket.com to host theirs. Then you put the URL for your pic inside an IMG tag. e.g. code: produces this
  13. I only mess with the tool orientation setup on the machines if I'm using TNR G41/G42.
  14. If I understand, you want to use multile of the same type of holder in different turret positions. If you edit the tool to your new number & then use the save to library button to save a copy of the tool with the new numbers & then cancel out of editing the tool you should be able to get the new tool from your library. HTH
  15. I kinda remember someone talking about using a Fadal post that did subroutines, but I can't find the link.
  16. Mark you got mail. There is a freeware raster to vector converter ( http:www.wintopo.com ). My company has the adobe suite of products so I use Adobe Illustrator.
  17. quote: HST-CORE-HORIZONTAL-RASTER.zip MCX2_Files (folder) On the FTP
  18. There are quite a few doubles. I sent you a copy (DXF) to the addy in your profile. :EDIT: The email in your profile bounced back. "Mailbox not found"
  19. In the Machine def in the spindle group there is a max spindle setting under the chuck. HTH
