Here is an improvement that I'd like to see happen in X.

 

Have the Level Manager work similar to KeyCreator (Cadkey 21+) in

that it opens in a pane in the graphics window and whatever changes you make

in the manager reflect immediately in the graphics window.

I find it to be a great time saver, especially when organizing imported geometry.

No more opening a new window (or entering the function), just toggle it on/off ( like the Operations Manager),

making the changes, and closing the window in order to see what you've done.

That was supposed to happen already, but it's not there.

 

Our salesman was in when X first came out and he showed us X on his laptop for the first time. He told us and then said, here watch.... It didn't work. That was with the initial release of MCX. I don't know what happened.

stock recognition for verify finishing toolpath, doesn't have to go thru rough toolpath to see the leftover stock

You've already got that..

Run the rough toolpaths and save as STL file

then verify the finish toolpaths using the STL file as stock.

The ability to select multiple solids for stock in verify. Stock,fixtures,clamps,etc

Hide the solid stock level but still verify with it.

 

Stock setup settings flow thru to verify, shouldnt have to select a file in stock setup then have to reselect it in verify.

 

Verify should load stock settings per Machine group.

 

Check boxes or method to never show the are you really really sure you want to do that dialogs.

 

Eliminate the zero points defined message if there are no point selected, duh I'm trying to select points

When reselecting toolpath geom F3 to clear previous selected geom.

 

Undo of Xform solids.

 

More hot keys I=Intersection C= color A=all ect.

David add the "Show and Hide operations" icon to your toolbar. Then you can click it to toggle the operations manager on and off while in backplot.

It would be nice if it automaticlly closed when in backplot there is no need for it to stay open. Like it was in V9

Roger Martin's trick will get rid of the toolpath manager when backplotting. Give it a try.

It appears that Roger's Trick made it into MR1/SP2.

Kennon, use foxfire and extension reload. it refreshes websites as often as you want.
