It would be nice to have a search function in file open page. Also to be able to feed to the next depth of cut on both ends of a 2d partial chain, when Im cutting back and forth. (I know I can ramp but don´t want to )

In the box for ramp parameters set it to plunge.

There is one icon, in the Trim >> Break >> menu

 

an unsigned value will extend that amount a - number will shorten it.

Hi everybody,

Lately I was working on creating own lathe tool liabrary by picking the lathe tool in the shop.I decided to create each tool by selecting the exact name of the holder Like MDJ--- and also picking from same supplier like iscar,kennametal from the mastercam supplier cat liabrary. Many holder names does not exist in the mastercam liabrary. Seco brand is not even there.

So mastercam should updated these suppler liabrary time to time. I know to make the program you can just select any similar holder and proper insert from Lathe_inch liabrary but this not very professional approach.

 

second simple thing I wish they should add the screen shot. Copy screen image to clipboard is not strong tool to include the snaps of drop down menus's from the screen.

why to use third party snap shot softwares?

 

One more thing I wish should be,eassy to bring back named view. when I have named view on the screen and just rotating the veiw,the named view is gone and to bring back the named view again there couple of mouse clicks and if the icon on the screen which carry the last named view will make the life easy.

Yes now the prtscn does work for me.

To make this key work, F Lock must be off and than ALT+ prtscn

One thing I want to add, copy screen image to clipboard only work for what is drawn on the screen, It doesn't include any pop up menu on the screen.

Actually it's the tooling suppliers (last I heard) that give these to Mastercam. You should make that request to the tooling people.

Quickmask is an improvement but I would love to have the FULL set of power keys back Like "A" for All and "C" for color

It would be nice to trim any surface to any type

of line or chain, without closing the profile.

 

In any work plane, doing so in any view.

I would like the ability to leadin/leadout with a line to whatever angle that I choose. This would be a major update for us.

You can leadin or out with any angle.

As I understand it right now, the leadin/leadout line can only be tangent or perpendicular. I would like to use it at 30° for whatever reason I have. And I don't want to use an arc.

Marting, put the leadin/out to tangent, and put the arc sweep to 30.0 deg. this will do what you are trying to do

I don't want to use an arc because I often am in a place too tight.

Marting if you set the arc for .001 you really don't notice the arc and get what you want.

Yeah, you will need a .001 rad for this to work
