O/T Paintballing

Went paintballing today, my first time with my nephew.

Had a good time. Some hard core players out there.

 

Damn if I got hit more than once too.

 

But I got my revenge

 

My thanks to Worr Games, for setting me up with a top level marker with all the goodies.

I also got hit in the finger, leg, and chest.

 

I know I nailed one in the facemask,

 

I WILL go again.

 

But golf will prevail.

FYI at least one of the paintball manufacturers (Dye Precision in San Diego) uses Mastercam to program all their molds.

Along with Davis one of the Paint gun Manufatures here in Valencia use mastercam to program all aspects of the paint guns.

Oh yeah have a neighbor that is raking in the cash from his Paintball supply business. I keep waiting for him to purchase one of the hill top mansions around here.

Funny Story > Playing and being interested in Paintball, and how the markers/parts were made, is what got me into a career in manufacturing, back in '94/'95. I started with a Dremel Tool, and a set of needle files, trying to make the release of the sear/action on my marker faster. I told my H.S. Guidance Counsellor that I wanted to "make paintball guns", and she said "oh, you're into manufacturing", and got me into a program called Running Start. Best decision I've ever made.

We migrated 'off-topic' over to a separate forum because the o/t on this forum was shut down for the reasons (and maybe more) that Colin pointed out.

It's still going but with a much smaller crowd.

I liked off topic a ton, its too bad that a few bad apples spoiled it all for us, I really think the majority of us can handle conversations with others on topics we do not agree on, but some people (probably the ones not knowledgeable enough to actually hold a productive conversation on a controversial topic) got all but butthurt or had their feelings hurt and decided its easier to silence people they don't agree with than to try to have a conversation. 

I do think Emastercam made the correct choice given their options though, because the Socialist media companies like facebook, twitter, etc decided they would just censor and ban anyone they didnt agree with and we couldnt even post truthful info about Hunter bidens laptop, elections being stolen, covid vaccines, etc. even if the information was truthful and valid, instead of emastercam doing something like this they shut it down for everyone which is far better than the alternatives that facebook, twitter, etc. chose. I still hate that the mastercam educators alliance group is on facebook cuz i think they can do a lot better than using the facebook platform. but all in all i hope off topic can return some day

I left Farcebook in October 2020... or maybe it was October 2018. I don't recall. Anyway, I didn't make any announcements to anyone I just quietly closed the profile and allowed it to delete after I think 30 days or something. Never looked back. For me personally, it outlived it's usefulness, and I need fewer time sucks in my day not more.
