Hi guys,

 

Don't disable Hardware acceleration, this will make the problem worse. If you already have disabled it, remember to unselect that checkbox in BOTH Settings / Configuration / Screen AND Settings / Configuration / Verify Settings.

 

We ran into this a few times with nVidia GeForce graphics cards, and once with a quadro. Everytime running with hardware acceleration on and a driver update solved the problem.

My verify was very dark, but not black. I went to shade settings and then my spot light settings. Turned on the TOP RIGHT light to 100% intensity as a light bulb and now it's the same brightness it was in regular X4 without affecting the way the model looked before I went into verify.

I got sick of playing around with it. Complete uninstall/reinstall just straightened out this box as well.

Has anyone tried deleting their config file and restarting Mastercam?

Close MCAM,

 

go into your mcam/config folder and remove the mcamx.config file

 

Place it in a different folder or delete it entirely.

 

Then restart Mastercam, it will create new config

I updated video driver on quadro fx3450 to a driver that is less than a month old and still have the problem. I have been able to minimize it some using the lighting settings in the config settings but it is still not the same as before the MU1 update.

I have tried moving the mcamx.config file and letting it create a new one and it didn't help.

 

I've tried every other solution in this thread and nothing has helped.

 

I have another seat in a box with a quadro nvs 285 card that works but is very dark.

This is weird, because I'm seeing this today, but I didn't see it yesterday after I initially installed MU1. Restarting my computer is the only thing I did different

I found newer drivers for my video card. Now instead of being solid black it's just really, really, dark. I've tried everything else that you said, Chris. I have disable accel, unchecked in both places. I'm not sure what to do now, but I am thankful to at least be able to see the stock to some degree now.

My color is good but my space pilot is acting up, kinda like the knob is sticky. When you move part and let go of knob the part slowly drifts in space for a few seconds.

I've been installing and uninstall MU1 betas

for quite a while and have never seen this..

If I did, the first thing I'd do is uninstall

the 3D Connexion drivers and reinstall, making sure I was using the latest greatest from thier website.

If I have my WCS to one side it's dark but set to the other side it's lit up.

Getting the new drivers for my card solved the problem for me.

I have NVIDIA Quatro FX 3700 with latest drivers ... gradient background in diagonal... start is 207 and end is 160 ... verify work perfect both Top tool plane and created WCS toolpane ...

 

Also, both my 3D Connexion SpacePilot and my X-Keys works great ...
