Does X5 allow you to have multipal sessions of mastercam open and working on them.X4 has problems with that.Working on 3 machines at a time would be a lot easier and mistake free if I could do this like I could in X3

It gives you a warning when you open the 2nd, it is not recommended. I have done it without a problem a couple of times, but only for a few mins.

I have had 2-3 multiple sessions all day and every day since version 9 and NEVER had an issue. I'm currently programming using X5. I would not worry about it.

the warning is legalese BS.. If you have a decent computer multiple session are no problem..

2 or 3 session open all day every day..no problem

I get that message.I asked my reseller and he said it wouldn't be a good idea to keep 2 sessions open.The fear is lost entries on one or the other session

You'll get the same warning in X5.. If you have a decent computer, multiple sessions are NOT a problem.

I beat that, I often have multiple sessions of X3, X4 & X5 open at the same time, supporting different people..

 

Never had a problem except for running out of the RAMs...

As far as I have seen, Mastercam does not give you a warning that you are opening a file that may already be open, either on your computer or someone elses. So a word of caution on opening multiple sessions would be that if you open the same file in two different sessions at the same time on the same computer for what ever reason, some changes could be lost becasue the "last one out, wins".
