Recommended Posts

It gives you a warning when you open the 2nd, it is not recommended. I have done it without a problem a couple of times, but only for a few mins.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I get that message.I asked my reseller and he said it wouldn't be a good idea to keep 2 sessions open.The fear is lost entries on one or the other session

As far as I have seen, Mastercam does not give you a warning that you are opening a file that may already be open, either on your computer or someone elses. So a word of caution on opening multiple sessions would be that if you open the same file in two different sessions at the same time on the same computer for what ever reason, some changes could be lost becasue the "last one out, wins".

Gcode was just telling me about this the other day.
