  1. MPSUBREP.PST .......enough said ..you can find it here on this site
  2. Dave with the mpsubrep pst it DOES each operation for each of the multi parts then moves on to the next op it does NOT do 1 complete part and then another .
  3. i relize this is about using transform to get multiple parts but we use the MPSUBREP pst. We programe and machine the 1st pc make any adjustments to the master cam file then repost with this pst and you get multi pcs in a subrep easy to edit not alot of code and you get efficent code ...i think not alot of users know of this post but it works great ...hth

  5. parameter 315 and then witch bit to change???i just looked and dont see anything that says that. Ive never heard of this that you can change a haas from a dog leg move to a straight line move ??? please advise
  6. put the free solidworks (edrawings )viewer on your box see if that helps....
  7. i dont think you can use( in per rev ) what year are your machines that you say use ipr g95?? what software number in the controll also
  8. harvey tool 1/8-90 hear also... some times companies put engravimg wax into the letters and the ball mill dosnt leave a sharp enough corner to hold it ?????

  10. double disc grind it to size first it cuts equal amounts off both sides in the free state we have this done for some of our plastic jobs that need to be flat www.precisiondiscgrinding.com

My company is seting up a training program we all have been using mcam for years some for 15 some for 3 we all have had training at some point thru the reseller community colledge WE would like to possibly go the online or the video route to make it available to all to learn at home and at work at there own pace what have you guys found to be a good fit ???im looking at MastercamU, Streamingteacher,eapprentic any feed back or other sugguestions do some have tests to take ???or specifically prepare you to be mastercam certified ??thanks for any help you can provide
  12. we use command and tecknics tool holders and rarly do the tools stick and we use white lithium grease on them if a tool gets stuck turn up the air pressure in the back and it pops it every time we keep ours set to the top of the limit maybe a little over .....
  13. we use dnc max from wonderware all wired in so far we like it sure beats floppy drives ....
  14. our lathe guy has been off and when i try to start up v 9.1 i get this warning error opening C:mcam9commontempdb.ovf then i hit ok then i get not enough memory ?????? i checked the file (db.ovf) and its empty 0 mg ????? i used the program before he left no problums
  15. sometimes on plastic parts we climb mill the ruff pass and conventional machine the finish pass does a nicer job on the finish...also on chamfer milling passes it seems to wipe the pickup off the edge on my spring pass
  16. i think you would be better off paying more for better employees then paying over and over for tooling on jobs
  17. im alittle late chimming in but we use 3M VHB (very high bond)this stuff is used here in assembley and we have been using it alot in the shop it holds great
  18. we also use the plastic tool tags that snap onto the flange but we get the same ones as the command ones from MSC for 18$$ for 25 of them
  19. we use a coolnt operated bar puller on our sl-10 but we had to get a bigger pump and we just use this subroutine to advance stock g00 x0 z1. (moves close to part) m8 (grips part) m11(unclamp chuck) g98(feed in inch mode) g01z2. f20.(moves z back amount needed ) m10(clamp chuck) m9(coolnt off) g4p2.(dwel to let fingers off part) g99(back to feed per rev mode) g28(move to home) cannot use this in single block takes a little tweek at the machine but works good for a puller
  20. years ago we seperated our lathe from the mill package got charged for that, we only pay maintence on mill and from what im told we arnt doing it anymore ...just came from the x4 rollout and lathe is just window dressing ...we still use v9 for turning

  22. we cut alot of 316 ss and its the rpm's that are killing your cutter like they said before around 4000 should be the rite rpm
