you should also look into presetting the tool lenth off line since we went to this system i cant see it any other way ...we have a variety of commanly used tool that we all share with a tool tag and its lenth writen on it this way just put the lenth in the toollenth page and go
we also cut alot of delrin since it comes in over size to nomonal sizes in the sheets we cut them to like 2 foot sqaure and then have them double disc ground to size like .500 .75 1.00 etc when we make parts from the stock it stays good ...hth
i like the story a few weeks back of the guy who would bring you in on sat and pay you to make a part then he would check it for accuracy and finish this way he didnt waste too much time or money fining out what you were all about

id vote for the slitting saw also with a cold air gun blast but i also like the idea of alchol as a coolnt and it cleans as well also try frezing the parts in the frezer before machining and see what that does for the melting ???just a thought ive done this before when working with rubber and it solved some of my melting problums

yea heard about this on a car forum i use some guys had wheel spacers done there they charged him 150.00 for 4 spacers and he said the quality sucked ...
yes it is we would have some goofie stuff happen back in the old days with hunting or moving around a little bit and someone told us to keep aux 1000 on and that worked ???we dont run long programes it there any more just 2nd op and 1 tool jobs ????i dont really no what to tell you but that machine has got to be around 12 plus years old ????
