ive used 2 sided tape and rubber and gasket cement both work good but clean up takes long and is messey the vacume plate works good but not much holding power this system looks promising fast clamp and release and strong holding power i wonder how long till is available to the common folks????
my neiborhood was all dirt roads up untill about 10 years ago when we all put up 1000 $$$ each to have the 100 feet in frount of each of our houses paved then the town ship took over the roads and will now maintain them and the postal service will deliver to the house etc..
do a search on this its was gone over a few mounths ago ...on that note we use solidworks here and also looked into cam works but thankfully we saw thru the bull sh%t and stuck with mcam also camworks does nothing for you if you do surfacing its basicly holes and 2d ..with mcams ops library and solid drill you can do the same thing
we use the model also ..and the print for tolerences and for shop reference plus you could make a mistake recreating the geo from the print !!!model is the bible here
weve had 2 minis for a few years now allin all a good value for the buck what every one else has said is right on ill add that we bought stub dr-32 holders that put the collet up inside the 40 taper part for super stub it will give you more roon in the Z axis witch is what youll need if you have a vise or bigg part on the table the z travel was this machines only probulem for us
i came in on monday once and found my 3/4 carbide mill crashed into the table ...the stud broke sitting still over the weekend it was a haas pullstud that came with the tooling that came with the machine i called haas and they told me to never leave tool in the machine when its not running ???any way we think it was a hardness issue and we pulled out all pull studs and replaced them with command ones i cant imagine it happening in the cut OUCH i would also have the draw bar tention checked make sure its not over pulling
