  1. Mick those options are still there. Right next to the verify button at the top of the operations manager is a backplot/verify options button. Click that to setup your stocks.
  2. We use the cogsdill stuff all the time. We also use the original countersink maker for aircraft stuff Severance. http://severancetool.com/index2.html

    Corrupt Tools

Doesn't look like its going to be fixed at all. Rich said they probably can't do anything with the X6 files being brought in having these so-called corrupt tools.

    Corrupt Tools

I'm not seeing how these tools now all of a sudden are corrupt. I've had plenty of files with similar sized tools or identical tools with different tool numbers/feeds/speeds that aren't corrupt and they work just fine in every single version prior to X7. I dont see why I should have to spend time on 'fixing' tools that are perfectly fine so I don't get an erroneous error message and mess up my file every time I open them in X7. Am I seeing this wrong or something?
  5. Ive done it for every version X so its pretty easy for me to recreate. First thing you do is right click in your toolbar somewhere and select 'Customize' down at the bottom. Then I create a crap ton of new drop-down menu's in the 'Drop Downs/Right mouse button menu' tab and rename them to what I want. I've always started my names with RMB - for easier tracking. Once you get those sub menus setup how you want, just drag and drop them somewhere in the 'Right mouse button menu' at the top of the tab and configure how it will look every time you right click the screen. Presto! Just remember that the order you put stuff in the right mouse button menu is exactly how it will appear when you right click in the screen. So make sure you get everything in the order you want.
  6. I do pretty much everything from the right mouse button.
  7. Heres one way I would do it with wear comp
  8. Do you guys use a lot of transform ops with WCS? I am just curious as I use WCS with transform ops and stock model doesn't even register the transformed ops. I should add this was in X6 haven't tried it in X7 yet.
  9. Ill bet your 45 deg mill was also 1/2 diameter!
  10. Speaking of the tool manager, can anyone tell me wtf SYOZ and EOC is in the lower connection type for holders?
  11. To me it's because you are dragging cutting flutes back through the hole which would create vertical lines in the hole. I've always been a g85 fan.
  12. Heck they didn't even work with the xstyle coolant commands anyway in X6
  13. Im having the same issue. I can change the xml file and reopen it and see that the changes stuck but when I fire up x7 its still using crazy numbers.
  14. Almost every toolpath has the ability to do those calculations for you now Neurosis. Instead of hand calculating it I just type .01 in the FPT box and put the sfm in the SFM box and it does it for me. The only exception to this are the legacy amazing surface toolpaths (blend, flowline, contour, etc).
  15. I remember reporting this in one of the preview releases and they told me that was going to be fixed for release.
  16. lol nevermind I found the logic in the post... guess I should read first then post
  17. I need to change my post so that whenever it encounters an rpm below 1700 it turns on low gear (M38), then switches back to high gear when that tool is done. Is there a way I can do this in the post with a variable? edit:: This post is based off an mpmaster for a mazak fusion 640m2 control
  18. This is a big sticking point for me as well. Why we can't just make the list ourselves is beyond me.
  19. I remember back in version 6 days it actually did work correctly. It just didn't work on all types of toolpaths. Somewhere along the line it was "upgraded" and completely broke how its suppose to work. Just the flip-flop button in the lead-in/lead-out page disappeared in some old version.
  20. The titles of those fields can be changed to anything, just click on them and you can type whatever you want in there. The blank page thing is something I'm still dealing with, its a pain to get these to print out without an extra blank page stuck in there somewhere.
  21. I just want it to mirror my toolpath. It used to do this in V6 if my memory is correct (that was a loooong time ago). The c-hook does mirror this toolpath correctly.
  22. ok and that's wrong. The lead in and lead out are incorrect
  23. So I was reading the blog over on the mastercam.com site and something caught my eye. And I thought to myself just how wrong this is and I set out to test transform mirror again after giving up on it quite a few years ago thinking that maybe something has changed since then. I have 2 simple rules for this mirror test, one is the transformed toolpath has to climb mill, and two it has to respect the lead-in and lead-out just like the original toolpath. The attached file is the easiest possible test I could come up with to test transform-mirror. Not one single option I tried worked inside the GUI. However, the c-hook MirrorToolpath.,dll did manage to mirror the toolpath and respect my 2 rules. So I tried to run the c-hook on a bigger file with lots of different toolpaths and unfortunately it had some failures and Im not sure what the errors were because the popup boxes had some weird output. Can someone transform-mirror this toolpath correctly inside the GUI? Am I missing something? XFORM-MIRROR.zip
  24. I'm not familiar at all with hurco controls but what if you turned off arc filtering all together and let the software handle it?
  25. When I am creating a new tool in the tool manager I use the tab key to navigate between the fields. The default action is to not highlight the text in the text box. I would rather have this highlight the text for editing so I don't have to click on each individual field to highlight the text.
