I used to be able to do part marking using create letters. then using 2d toolpath and do a window around the letters or numbers and it would then ask to pick a start point. then it would toolpath them. I cant seem to be able to do this anymore,does anyone have a solution or work around.

you might try rotary axis substitution.

I cant help on the settings but you might want to look for certain drivers for doing cad/cam work.there are a few web sites that have these. hth

I get the same thing,only thing i can suggest is to creat surfaces from solids and then it will show correct.

when you post out 5 axis code does it post out a g93 command.you might need to go into your config and change the setting for feed rate to inverse.

did you pick from solids.are the number of enties different for drive and check.

is there something trying to reposition the trunion during or before the cut. any plane call out in the line or before.

its the same way in a mazak 5 axis.

which one are you trying to install the X4 or MU1.

was the check retract for gouge checked in gap settings.

250gb drive 80% free. yes on regular defrag. maybe its time for a uninstall and cleanup.

well restored back to tuesday and now none of my X installs from X to X4 will start,get the unhandled problem and the report to mastercam just after the splash screen.

like to the point it wont run at all. if it does work then its real slow.

usually using wear you dont put anything in the main tool size column.devation from size will go in the last column.

go into cut depths in roughing parameters and set to absolute there and set min and max.

afaik the only way would be if they bought X2 to start with.it sounds like the bought a second seat and started with X3 is that right. the other way would be to upgrade V9 to X2.

sounds pretty fast for that course of a thread.what kind of material.what kind of shap is your insert by the last 4 passes.

is there a setting to allow twist instead of readressing arcs in the post. that is what you need to get the 3+2 to work.

looked at your file yesterday and when i did something similar i used 5 axis multi surface to go back and forth on a corner.

well im going to add to this. what would be a better choice a 3700 256mb or a 4400 512mb both quadro cards.
