  1. Hello, We use Cimco DNC max here and the support is great from both the reseller and Cimco themselves. We had issues with the software not doing what we expected and it took about a week for Cimco to change the software to be able to do what we need. Can't tell about the reseller for your location but the support from Cimco is top notch. As for the software itself, we never used anything else then Cimco.
  2. If your post is like mine, look for sgfeed in the post and remove them. Backup you post prior to doing any modifications. HTH
  3. No, We rely on Vericut for this. The only thing that could come close to it with Mcam is to program point by point but then again, you can not get mastercam to stop the tool from turning to get in the hole.
  4. Just a heads up, We get the same problem with X7
  5. Guy in the desert, Custom canned cycle also. This is what we did.
  6. Yeah, What Oscar said. It's the only thing that worked for us.
  7. We got ours from vermont gage : http://www.vermontgage.com/
  8. Is your Windows system a 32 or 64 bit. Mastercam 64 bit won't run on a 32 bit system.
  9. Yes I do, It is the red icon with the 2 triangles that allows you to see the section. The black arrow to the right allows you to define the way the section is done.
  10. You have to update them with update folder
  11. The cross section in available in the PDF file
  12. Hockey guy, I have the same issue. If you look in the MBD applet in the opreations manager screen, you will see the icon there but I would really like to see it in the top menu.
  13. Thanks Ernie, Is it possible that the update removed the 3DPDF command from the Verisurf menu at the top of the screen? I can not see it. When I install the previous version, it is there.
  14. Ernie, I did load the last version you posted and I got this problem. Previous version had no problems.
  15. Ernie, I have dowloaded it on my PC and just love what you guys did. We only have a problem with the WCS axis. If you select to not see them, they will show again once you start mastercam X6 again.
  16. Look there: http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?showtopic=65560&hl=nc2cdl#entry743096
  17. Hello Darin, find the prdrlout post bloc in you post prdrlout #R drill position if absinc$ = zero, refht_a, !refht_i else, refht_i, !refht_a and change it to this: prdrlout #R drill position refht_i = 0. refht_a = 0. if absinc$ = zero, refht_a, !refht_i else, refht_i, !refht_a I have not tested it but I am pretty sure it would work. PS: make a backup copy of your post before any modifications.
  18. We use control here. Lead in/out distance is tool radius + length of move you need. The machine only moves by the amount you need since the tool rad will be compensated.
  19. Mick, you are right but by using the interface, you don't have to create the STL files for vericut, you can just pick your solid in vericut for stock, design and fixture. And with the new interface, you can tell Vericut to not export the tools and use the ones from the template. Mark, As far as I know, there is no way to transfer that information from the library. What we did is create STL files of our holders, put them in a directory used for Vericut and when building your tool library in Vericut, just reference the STL for you holder. HTH
  20. Never mind, I found it. I just had to change these form A to B: fmt "B" 11 cabs #C axis position fmt "B" 14 cinc #C axis position fmt "B" 14 cout_i #C axis position fmt "B" 4 indx_out #Index position I feel kind of dumb to not think of this before... Ah well, live and learn
  21. Hello all, I am customizing the mpmaster post from this site and I am almost totally there. My problem is that the rotary axis address in the PSOF post block is A. But the rotary axis adress is B and it is correct in the rest of the program. Could someone please look at it and tell me what the problem is? I have attached a Z2G file. Thanks in advance, MARTING_POST_PROBLEM.Z2G
