Im doing a part in a 520 pc4 that is a swarf cut in A axis which does a 180 degree unwind at A0.
it leaves a tiny raised edge at this point. it can easily be smoothed but am wondering if it can be made better. im using g131 f3 and the slider is on max precision.
the other alternative is to break it up but i would have to conventional cut one direction .
You can do it in the tool manager from the main control.
On our 850 with 60 tools I added 30 for a job. I go in unload the data for the tool I'm taking out and load in the data for the tool I'm putting in. Then put a tool tag on it. You can only load it into a free pot.
I call up tool zero because if you unload the tool while it's in the spindle it won't recognize it untill after a tool change
What does the ptool_inpection look like?
Personally i would copy some of the ptoolcng block so it re issued everything. This way if for some reason somebody goes to start the program from there it's going to have the right tool and the spindle.
I had a file in 2020 with 5 locked planes. When I opened it in 2023the planes were still locked but 160degrees off. I had to lock them because I had to modify my 5axis home for the dovetail fixtures we modified and it would keep reverting the planes.
They also have this link symbol now.
When I do a circle Mill 5 axis I'm using a line I believe for orientation. Camplete posts out of g43 tilted work plane but it's turning cutter comp on on the z move for the helix.
I have Track cutter comp mode in the files setting on Camplete checked.
This is giving me a warning a cam fleet but a simulates fine I haven't actually run it on the machine yet. Has anyone had this before?
