  1. it doesnt like the wcs im using. if i change all 3 planes to a different one it works. if i use the wcs i need and swap the tool and comp plane i get the error still. my wcs plane is 20mm above the system top plane.

  5. the smaller tools seem to hold up better to me in some of the tougher materials
  6. I think it was the sleep settings. It must have screwed around with it because I had it on performance and it was switched back to balance
  7. have you tried clearing the solid history? save some is what i use for exporting
  8. the sleep was set so i turned that off. It has it set so the power settings need admin password. it makes updating stuff great because the boss has to type it in every time
  9. We have a server hasp. Only started with update 3. We've been on 2 for a few months now without any issues. They did upgrade e2 also. Maybe they changed a sever setting

  13. we updated to update 3 and now if i leave the computer when i come back its at the restart recovery screen. it happens a few times a day. it doesn't seem to give a warning.
  14. That they way I would do it. Sometimes the indexer can be wired to accept angular comands from the machine

  16. Internal tool has back cbore cutters. I believe I did some hand edits before we upgraded that advanced drill could do
  17. I did not look at your file but you could make a youuuge avoidance region and force it to cut one way i think
  18. i had one drawing where they dimensioned the center of the .125 radii in the corners of the triangle pockets instead of wall intersections so i couldn't use much of the radius tolerance . i had to use a 6mm endmill for it.
  19. Can't you dynamic contour and put the extra stock allowance for the with of the cut. I forgot what the exact name was
  20. In Windows control panel there should be a Mastercam icon. There are a couple reset options for tool bars there. I wood try that.
  21. I do. Step up comes in handy when you deal with ribs
  22. I would use dynamic or pocket highspeed which ever is faster. I would try both high step over shallow cut and full depth light radial and see the time difference. then a separate zigzag finish pocket at final depth to get your floor finish.
  23. That's what i do, then i make a stock model from job setup. it is usually faster this way for me
