My 1st manufacturing job was afternoons & weekends running a punch press in High School (1974-75), a place called Talent Metal Products in Harbor City California.

You can get add-in port cards if the box doesn't natively have one.

Back when I worked there, we tried that and couldn't get it to work. I don't know why. That's why the boss just kept getting older Dells on eBay with the parallel port built in.
