there is essentially no control now.

There is plenty of control, if you know how to

use it correctly.

I would think what would be the point of even having circle mill if you used the exact same features as contour.

If you need lead-in/lead-out, I would think you'd use contour.

I would like to see a couple of changes made to the edit commom parameters page.

It would be nice if you could edit the depth cuts, multi-passes, lead in/out, xy stock to leave, and those things when you select a bunch of toolpaths and right click, edit common parameters. that would save lots of time rather than having to do every toolpath one by one.

Well John, I think that it is fine for folks to disagree in this forum. I would like to be able to use more lead in/out control for things like threadmill. I can mainipulate lead in/out to have a tool start on center before the arcing entry. When in contour mode, the two buttons available to me in threadmill cutter control are "start at center and "perpendicular entry", not a lot of options there. If I choose both options I get an entry line starting off center then an arcing move into the cut, as I am at the bottom of a hole, if my threadmill happens to interfere with the minor dia. of the thread, well not so good, and I have no other options available to me. Even with wear type ccomp I need a perpendicular entry. I can't choose the length of the entry, I can't opt to pick up ccomp above the hole, so I am not happy. I am largly self taught as a programmer and I am open to suggestions.

Thanks.

that's a lot of clicks to see a hole diameter

I see that you said "click box twice" in your message. From that statement I'm not sure if you knew you could actually just double click on the type of entity you want to work with from the All/Only boxes. If you double click then you don't even have to press OK, the All or Only windows will close automatically.
